Van Rosenberg, baseball player from Zachary

Watched the HR Derby last night at WM and this kid ran away with it. What class is he? Is there any interest from LSU? I know it's just HR Derby, but he was head and shoulders better than anyone there. There were 11 teams in it. Zachary, ND, Teurlings Catholic, WM, Neville, Ouachita, Ruston, Tioga, St Louis, Captain Shreve, and Sterlington. Not sure what he's doing so far this year, but he definitely has enough pop to help out in Baton Rouge. Any info would be appreciated.

His brother was an LSU commit but signed professionally with the pirates I believe out of high school.

I thought so. I thought he was committed to LSU then realized that was his brother. He was KILLING the ball. No one else was even close.

What ever happened to him. He signed with the Pirates(?) then I haven't heard his name in a while

He's got like a 6 or 7 ERA in 2 seasons in A and sub A level ball. Apparently he was throwing low to mid 80s his first season but is now in the high 80s low 90s.

6 rd pick wasn't he? Just like Gausman. Too bad Von Rosenburg didn't stay with LSU to become a likely 10 pick like Gausman

Yeah. I took my nephew up there so he could run around and catch the non home runs. Had a good time. Got to talk to Dale Murphy and saw Warhawk Rebel.
