re: Yet Another Keeper Question - Lee or Lincecum + Vicedo kemp, miggy, santana, bumgarner its looks like the draft will be loaded with pitching to where you can still draft an ace Reply Back to Top
Kemp, Cabrera, Lee..that's $109 If Storen is cheap, I'd keep him. And if I had enough for Swisher or Viciedo, they are worth keeping at that price, IMO. I'd definitely try and trade Lince and some other high dollar guys for good value keepers. Reply Back to Top
Ackley may break out, but that is reflected in his value already. $15 is too much for him compared to some other players. id keep your 2 studs plus Lince and freddie freeman prob This post was edited on 2/28 at 3:18 pm Reply Back to Top

Freeman got hurt today. I'm going to have to wait that out and see how bad it is. Reply Back to Top
dislocated knee cap i heard, should be ready for opening day. Reply Back to Top
Yeah, that's what it sounds like. Hopefully that's all. Reply Back to Top
There's so much strategy involved in your decision..I'd probably go crazy trying to decide the best way. I'd probably consider trading Kemp or Cabrera for quality keepers at weak positions and to free up cap space. Having top 5 keepers (i.e. Santana) at C and either SS/2B at around $20-25 could be more beneficial than a top 5 1B or OF. Especially with tons of expensive guys being thrown back into the draft Reply Back to Top
Cabrera will get 3B eligibility though and Kemp is as unique as they come Reply Back to Top
quote: Yeah, I can see the merits to just about every scenario suggested. I'm leaning toward throwing back Lince/Lee and hoping I can nab one of them at the back of the 1st/top of the 2nd, and then keeping Santana and one of those 2nd tier SPs (Romero or Maddy Bums). Reply Back to Top |
Or I could say frick pitching altogether and keep: Kemp Miggy Bruce Santana Viciedo And then go for the aces early. Reply Back to Top
I just look at the guys he's throwing back into the draft and think the draft will be loaded with high dollar studs. then you add that one team won't be keeping anyone. It's just a strategy to consider. I'd probably try and keep as many value guys as possible. And just draft BPA. Reply Back to Top

Do you just like Swish because of the low $? I like Swish as a player a lot, but on the downside of his prime, I'm not sure if he'd keeper worthy. Reply Back to Top
quote: That's what I ended up doing + Viciedo since he was only $3 and there was no reason not to protect him. Reply Back to Top |

I'll probably target him in the draft. Always a guy I like. I was still $4 under my limit. Should I get Edwin Jackson? Essentially all it would cost me is my last draft spot. Reply Back to Top
quote: Yeah, if Edwin Jackson will not be around in the last draft spot. Reply Back to Top |
I doubt he would be. He's so mercurial as a pitcher though... sometimes he looks dominant, sometimes he looks lost. Reply Back to Top
But for 4 bucks, it's well worth it. Reply Back to Top Refresh
