| actually i just looked at the artist renderings for the champions plaza and i dont see anything similarity to the faux brick. Reply Back to Top |
quote:I agree with this. They literally scatter visiting fans to the four corners of the stadium. It works very well at diluting any possible noise or presence visting fans would have if they were all in the same spot otherwise. Reply Back to Top |
| What rendering are you looking at cause I just looked at the drawings and it looks very similar to the existing West facade? Reply Back to Top |

| Right. The cmu at the bottom of the piers will match the West facade and the panels will be a similar color and have the look due to the jointing. ETA: The West facade is cmu, not bricks like the rendering shows. This post was edited on 2/28 at 3:36 pm Reply Back to Top |
| they dont look the same to me but it is just a drawing. eta: you talking about on the ground? if so i hear ya. This post was edited on 2/28 at 3:38 pm Reply Back to Top |
quote:considering that this likely will be the last feasible expansion to Tiger Stadium, I agree. I think they should do what they can to squeeze at least one more seat in than is in Bryant-Denny. : Reply Back to Top |

quote: Yeah, the rendering material for the West facade is not accurate. quote: Even more so on the ground. But I'm talking about how on most cmu walls the blocks are offset so the joints between them zig-zag up/down the wall. With the joints being continuous horizontally as well as vertically the blocks look like panels. But definitely once all of the champions plaza/walk work is done next year it will look like the sidewalks and facade go together. Reply Back to Top |
| are the windows going to be replaced on the east and west sidelines? just curious... Reply Back to Top |
| Yes, the plan is to replace all the old windows. Even on the inside of the stadium. Reply Back to Top |
| thats great because it makes a huge difference... Reply Back to Top |
| I think the plans sound great. There is no need to add additional seating other than to remove those prime seats for opposing fans and place them up in the rafters and give some rantards that complain about prices a place to sit. Maybe someone on the SECr or someone has looked this up already, but where would this place us among the SEC regarding the # of suites and stadium club seats? Reply Back to Top |
| I wonder if they're gonna have to cut down any of those oak trees along South Stadium Drive in order to fit the addition. That would suck Reply Back to Top |
| It will never be done in time. Reply Back to Top |
| You can bank they wont touch the Oaks. They guard those things with their lives... Reply Back to Top |
