Where Should I Eat while I'm in New Orleans French Quarter? Posted by TenTex I'm having lunch at Commanders Palace when I arrive. Where should I have dinner and lunch the next day? Seafood of course! Mothers? Galatoire's? Mulate's? Broussard's? Suggestions? Reply Back to Top
Johnny's PoBoys and Maximo's Italian Grill. While at Commander's make sure you get the Turtle Soup. This post was edited on 2/23 at 8:00 am Reply Back to Top
If you really mean the Quarter per se . . . Lunch . . . Stanley Dinner . . . Galtoire's or Bayona (if you're gay, you may wish to try Stella! . . . kidding Reply Back to Top

Off top of my head ... Central Grocery, Mr. B's Bistro, Stanley (brunch), Johnny's Poboys and Jacques-Imos (a little off the beaten path). Reply Back to Top

I like Coop's and at least it is in the FQ unlike some places mentioned above. Reply Back to Top
Everybody should experience Galatoire's at least once. Reply Back to Top
Muriel's ETA: I'm just getting started on exploring restaurants in N.O., so I haven't been to too many, but Muriel's was top notch when we were there this summer. This post was edited on 2/23 at 8:48 am Reply Back to Top

I would try Sylvain for one of those meals .. Reply Back to Top

Not worth a trip IMO unless you want to check out the maple leaf too. Reply Back to Top
BREAKFAST - croissant d'or Get the Almond Croissant. Trust me. Reply Back to Top
Ask for a table in the Garden Room at CP overlooking the courtyard. Go to Galatoire's for lunch. Mr. B's and Antoine's have lunch specials. Napoleon House is fun. Bon Ton has outstanding creole food. It's not open on weekends. Red Gravy has great food. Enjoy your visit. Reply Back to Top
I'd suggest Remoulade's for some oysters and one of their cajun (I don't know what they call it) taster platters. Molly's at the Market for a bar down on Decatur. Go there. Johnny's for a dressed shrimp poboy. Those things are golden to have a half poboy left over for the 3:30 push onto dinner. At some point you need to try Stanley's Stanley, which is eggs benedict with fried oysters. fricking good. I'd go eat at Rio Mar as well, even though it's a bit out of the 1/4. Just an awesome place for seafood, out of Louisiana norm but just so well done it's remarkable. I'd keep an open mind too, wander into Sylvain or MiLa or just into a place that looks inviting and is right there in front of you. Reply Back to Top
Thanks everyone!!! I will give you all a report back! Reply Back to Top
Broussard's is pricey but very good. Reply Back to Top
Nothing better than cocktails at Napoleon House, my favorite bar in the entire world. Reply Back to Top Refresh
