| We got a rough sketch of what we could be when we're on point. Really should've gotten the three yesterday. The good news is that Arsenal didn't look fantastic yesterday either. Definitely will be a good test early though. Reply Back to Top |
| On the positive side, Adam, Downing and Enrique were impressive at times... Could have easily been 3-1 if Suarez converts the PK and that terrible call on AC's goal. That beng said...only 1 point. Another good thing, is we face Arsenal without Gervinho, Fabregas...and probably Nasri...possibly Wilshere... Reply Back to Top |
quote: We sure did. And it was impressive. This team is good, and will improve. quote: I was impressed with all three. Enrique played very well despite being with the club for less than a week. Lucas looked terrible though. That's upsetting because he seemed to be such a bright spot last season. The good thing is that we have depth to replace him in the midfield if he continues to struggle. I was ecstatic that Johnson didn't start, but upset that Kelly didn't. I really think he should be in the starting XI. Personally, I would like to see something like this: ![]() Reply Back to Top |
| I think Lucas will settle down...but we do have a lot of options in midfield if someone struggles... Johnson will be back in the first team when healthy...I still cant figure out why Flanno got the nod over Kelly... Reply Back to Top |
| Song is probably going to be suspended too. Reply Back to Top |
quote: This might be one of my biggest pet peeves in sports. If Suarez converts the PK it means nothing else happens the same going forward. Instead of a gk there's a kickoff and that changes everything. So it's possible the outcome is the exact same, or something could've happened that pushed Sunderland to win. I get what you're saying but so many people take that phrase literally. Reply Back to Top |
| After watching the Arsenal and Chelsea matches this weekend I have come to terms with Larsson's goal. I would really like the full result at Emirates on Saturday. When was the last time we beat Arsenal away? Reply Back to Top |
quote: Was a wonderful piece of work on his part. Thing is, Pool drew against a team that is going to be much better than they were last season. I like our chances, simply because Arsenal is going to be missing a bunch of pieces. But, this is a funny sport. Anything can really happen to swing a result. And that's what scares me about playing a side like Arsenal. They've still got pieces at their disposal. Reply Back to Top |
'Pool in for the Derry Pele? quote: Reply Back to Top |

quote: No doubt, my point is that we should've won the game...it could've been 1-0 Reply Back to Top |
| we absolutely should have- and it sucks knowing that they pissed away two points. I really abhor watching longball tactics, and I just feel like we're gonna see a lot of it at inopportune times because of Carroll. Reply Back to Top |
quote: and as long as Carra is back there... Reply Back to Top |
| he's just playing kickball at this point. It's like the pickup basketball guy who shoots the second he gets the ball. Would be awesome if we could get Cahill in before the end of this window Reply Back to Top |
| Someone has to make Carra stop. Such a waste of possession. Reply Back to Top |
quote: The good thing is almost EVERYONE played poorly this weekend. United was the only team to step up to the plate and they only did so by way of a double deflection own goal against the run of play in a game which West Brom fully deserved to win. quote: I'm not so sure this will be the norm. It seemed for the first hour we played beautiful passing football, and I think we degenerated when the frustration set in. This mixed in with early season jitters probably cause the stupidity of Bob ball. I don't think its here to stay though. Reply Back to Top |
| Too bad we didn't get Aguero. He looks fricking incredible. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
