Yep, however if Rand can get 15-18% of the black vote, he's going to win.

Yes. Obamacare will be a big failure. This little mess of a gov't shutdown won't hurt him by then..it only lasted 2 weeks and he stayed relatively quiet and even publicly said it was the wrong way to go about things.

He has been gaining more support from the establishment. His ideas of individual liberty and ending the war on drugs are popular amongst young voters. He doesn't come across as out of touch, or some angry old man. He is very composed, a good speaker, and has charisma.

He has an excellent shot in 2016 if he gets the nomination..the country will be sick of democrat policies and Obamacare, just like they were sick of Bush policies in 08.

I think you missed the boat on this with all due respect.

Romney got 63 percent of the white ( as you know blacks & latinos are more socially conservative than whites ) vote so , in my opinion this is a misnomer , great talking point but not true.

The only reason Romney lost was racial politics , 95 percent blacks and 70 percent of latinos voted for Obama , the democrats as you know play the race card on both fronts and these gaps represents the margins of victory , it has nothing to do with social issues other than the young college voter getting ( my opinion ) brainwashed , I think as you look back on college in 15 years you will see things you went through in college through a different prism.

You know it to be true that liberal professors will fail a student who turns in a conservative sounding papper , so there is no way anyone can say the college students aren't being sold a bill of goods by liberals , everyone knows this is going on.

Now , with reason , show me why my argument isn't 100 percent fact.

So? They think that about every R candidate. Not one state up there is even a swing state they are as solid blue as the south is solid red.

Only states that matter are Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Virginia, Wisconsin, Michigan.

Yeah, he had a just decent post going until that and even that didn't have anything to do with the rest of his post or this thread.

Shame really.

Out of touch?

Then help me here. Why is it...you...and other liberals and people from up north are continually happy with the status quo and the same old professional politicians running things?

Do you guys really not see there is a problem with these people running this country? Are you truthfully happy with the way these people handle their job?

I hope you weren't addressing that at me.

Actually Obama got 93% of the Black vote in 2012, 71% of the Hispanic vote, 73% of the Asian vote and 70% of the Jewish vote.

no. I wasn't exactly sure where his post was at, so I just copied his quote.

I know he can't stand Paul and is there every chance he gets to downplay anything Rand Paul.

kind of like the MSM.

Just yesterday a college student had a thread on here where he stated this very fact , that his college professor gave him better grades when he changed his conservative opinions to fit the professors opinions , I had 3 kids finnish college so I already know the deal.

That part was a side discussion anyway , the thrust of my reply is fact , but yet you keep harping on social issues.

It just isn't the case.

Because it's their professional politicians running things.

Link to that.

Voting numbers were down a good margin on both sides in 2012. 65 million voted for obama in 2012, as opposed to 70 in 2008.
Romney received 60 million and McCain received 59 million. Both of those nominees were very soft RINO republicans. Paul could easily get every red state as last year, as well as Florida, Colorado, Virginia, and Ohio. I'd even say New Hampshire could be in play. Again though, 2016 is a long way away. And the pain of Obamacare is just starting.

I guess I'm just trying to grasp the line of thinking. The common sense or the lack thereof....

Is it just because of the party you belong to? Just because you belong to a certain party, you're obligated to feel that party is always right and nothing is wrong with the way DC is run?

It's sad, but that's the mindset from the left.

Conservatives eat their own, if you will. Thus the disapproval of Bush towards the end, and the ousting of RINO's. Which will continue in 2014. I can't wait.

That's about the only admirable thing about the democrats. They don't break rank, ever. It's also sad. They are one collective mind. Independent thought is not welcome.

Nope, the liberal Dems along with a compliant liberal MSM will label Paul and any other candidate as radical/extremists and that will be that. Plus Dems have a consistent voting block of government dependents and voters in general who see government as the solution thus bigger government. Pubs are pretty much fricked at this point the way I see it.

He's 10 times better than Cruz, but I wonder if he can get the nomination without betraying his libertarian instincts. That will be a tough needle to thread.

you're wrong

they voted for him b/c he was a DEM

if the GOP ever ran a black guy v. a DEM white guy, i'd guess the blacks would vote 80-85% for the DEM
