i'm starting to believe that him and his fellow non-establishment conservatives are the only hope this country has before the Libs/Progs flush us all down the shitter.

No. Less than Mitt or McCain if that helps.

There is a glimmer of hope but that glimmer is quickly being squashed by an constant invasion of parasites.

I'm thinking Ben Carson, I think he might actually peel off about 3-4% of the 'follow Obama at all cost because he's black' crowd. I think the 3-4% would be black Christians. The other ninty percent of black christians would still worship their other messiah.

Just saying its a possibility if God above would begin opening the eyes of the blind.

If it's the same electorate that we've had in 2008 and 2012, no.

Yes.

He's certainly one of the frontrunners.

Yea,

Everyday a Rand Paul Presidency gets more and more plausible.

Think about it. His dad by all accounts was not respected by the establishment and most considered him a kook.

Out of that image, Rand has successfully maneuvered himself to a position to where the Minority Leader of the US Senate actually seeks his guidance. So much so that he hired his campaign team.

Additionally, the further to the right Ted Cruz goes and the more noise he makes, the more reasonable and responsible Rand seems.

All in 3 short years.

Think about that. He is on a whole different level politically than his father ever was and much more so than the current leaders of the Republican Party.

Underestimate him at your own risk.

I think so, but I also believe he is the most libertarian candidate that will ever have a real chance.

I think his real downfall will be his position in the a branch of government that everyone hates right now. Republican governors will have an advantage in the next primary.

Disagree. His biggest challenge is going to be overcoming the natural skepticism that most have about his Libertarian leanings.

For instance:

The 2016 primary will make him answer to a lot problems he has.

Does Rand Paul favor legalizing Marijuana? Does he favor legalizing all drugs like his father does? What does he think of Ronald Reagan and the War on Drugs?

Paul has criticized the Civil Rights Act, why does Paul oppose parts of one of the most important laws our country has ever had?

Paul has criticized Neo-Conservative Foreign Policy and No Child Left Behind, does he think President Bush was a failed President?

I can go on, but once Rand Paul becomes the front runner and starts being attacked, Evangelicals in Iowa and South Carolina as well as the suburban voters in NH and all over Florida will think about supporting somebody else.

Yikes, he could be in trouble if these questions are asked. Whether he is right on policy or not, he will have to tread lightly when criticizing presidents as personally loved by the base as those two.

No republican has a shot against Hillary. The republican party has been painted as exclusive, whereas the democrats are inclusive,. Gays, women's rights, illegal aliens, etc.. they appeal to all. Especially all of our lazy arse young people.
