It was a big time catch, at a big time moment, by an undrafted rookie, to win an NFL game. #1 play seems fair to me!

With their current QB and Coach, the Pats have been to 5 Super Bowls...they deserve more love than most!

As much as I hated it, it was a great catch. Now what was Brady looking at in that gif

Expected the media hype for whoever won that game , but lets look at it this way. we get Ne after a loss and it was in Foxboro where the Patriots hardly ever lose. We played a great game until the 2 minute warning. We get the offsides call in the 2nd qtr and Drews time out or a delay of game and this is a W.

You're a poor judge of athleticism. The catch was nothing spectacular at all. Kenbrell and the every WR in the league is paid to make those catches no matter what time of the game it is.

One handed, fingertips, diving, sideline tapping, etc... Those are big time catches. See: Santonio Holmes in the Super Bowl a few years back.

Kenbrell's catch was none of the above.

I never said it was athletic or spectacular...don't know where you got that. What I said was true, which is why it was #1. I don't think the catch was "spectacular," but now that you mention it...it was "athletic"...even the announcers commented on 3' verticle to get the ball, in traffic, Safety closing, etc!

By the way...2 deep defense, the Safety should have broken to help much sooner. Got caught leaning the wrong way when the ball was released too!

OP, you can't let this fact get to you. As others have explained, it is because the NorthEast Corridor has such a high population density. The national sports media will cover the larger markets.

It is annoying, of course.

It really is. I'm learning, my friend. The lesson I've learned from a Saints loss is to stay away from Sports Media for at least a week...

I made the mistake of looking at Elliot Harrison's Power Rankings too

And it's important to the conversation to be reminded that the New Orleans Saints is a rather small-market team, especially by 2013 NFL standards.

Back when the Saints were born in 1967, NOLA and Dallas were the two largest and most vibrant cities in the South. That was a very long time ago, and, while Dallas is still up there, NOLA has fallen.

The big-market teams are always going to get more attention. Fans of small market teams are always going to feel some butthurt about this from time to time.

The remedy is to for the local sports media to develop some interesting sports talk shows. How is that new station doing on 1350am radio?

Winning solves it all.

It's only one loss in a 16 game season.

The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That's real glory. That's the essence of it. Vince Lombardi

Dallas has been mentioned. When the Cowboys came into existence, they used clout, influence, money, etc to have themselves put with teams in the East, because that's where the big markets are (New York, Washington and Philadelphia). They have been able to stay in the NFC East, so twice a year they play teams from those markets...more money, etc. Genius move by the COwboys. In reality, Carolina or Atlanta should be in the NFC East and the Cowboys in with the Saints (Cowboys - Saints should be a rivalry), but at this point, with the Cowboys NFC East rivalries, nothing will change and the Cowboys will be watched on the East Coast, rake in the dough and remain to many...America's team.

I am from NOLA, but, I lived near NYC for a few years after 9/11. I was stationed there with the military.

I was shocked to learn the rather large following the Dallas Cowboys enjoy in the NYC market area. These NYC Dallas Cowboys fans are not transplants from Texas. No, indeed, these Cowboys fans are born and raised New Yorkers.

How did they become Cowboys fans? I asked one of them, and he told me that he became a Cowboys fan back in the 60s and 70s when the Giants stunk.

How's that for hometown loyalty?

Any chance that the Falcons can suck bad enough to trigger the growth of some native Georgian Saints fans, I wonder?
