No, no they wouldn't.

No one in the previous era faced someone with the size, speed and technical proficiency of the Klitschko brothers.

Even Foreman, who was a giant in his era and considered the hardest hitter, was 3 inches shorter and about 15 pounds lighter than Vitali.

Wlad can be caught, but he can still hit harder than just about any other boxer when he wants to. He just doesn't have to.

I agree. Their style just really sucks to watch is all. They would be tough for anyone to beat all time IMO.

Yea I thought about them, hard to say if they're more accomplished than the Mannings though. Also their accomplishments are together where as the Mannings are independently both great

The Barbers aren't better than the Mannings

Neither are the Matthews

I'm assuming the last one is a joke

I was going to say this but they'd get their asses kicked if boxing was anything like it used to be. No, no they wouldn't. No one in the previous era faced someone with the size, speed and technical proficiency of the Klitschko brothers. I knew somebody would argue that point. ive heard it before but still don't buy it. You're assuming the old school guys couldn't learn a new style of fighting as well. They might have more size, but not the speed of Ali and those guys.

I don't think the elite athletes are into boxing anymore like they were back in the day. Makes today's fighters look better than they really are.

You can not buy it or not. Doesn't change the fact that the K brothers would be tough to beat in any generation, and I don't think Ali would have beaten either.

He would try the rope-a-dope method, and it would not have worked. Neither brother would have fallen for it like George, and both have much more in the tank than George did.

The US might not encourage elite athletes to participate in boxing, but Europe still does. They have some pretty damn good athletes too.

David Haye is the same size, weight and style as Ali. He couldn't do shite but run around against the lesser of the two brothers.

AND he has a superior KO ratio.

I do think the Esposito bros and Sharpe bros could give the Mannings a run for their money.... those are two legit discussions
