A more important question is: Where did they shoot him? And to follow up, why did it have to kill him?

Why did it have to be a fatal shot (ie head) when shooting literally almost anywhere else would have done the trick to stop him? Also why fire the gun several time?

Referencing a classic cops episode: LINK

Notice that the man charged the officers, apparently had a gun earlier, the officers had weapons drawn, but never fired a shot at the suspect even though he was clearly dangerous.

Meanwhile, a young man who did nothing wrong (allegedly) is now dead because why? We are too afraid of what could be? I just can't for the life of me understand what is driving cops towards a Death first; questions later mentality. These types of altercations have just been escalating year over year for awhile now. There were 3 officers present at this particular location. If one taser didn't work, why weren't more used? If a firearm had to be used, why make it fatal? Why fire multiple times? Why not, shoot for a part that would impair "charging"?

The gun was fired several times bc you are taught if you pull the gun to fire it, you fire until you feel the threat is neutralized. Problem is police are now using the "I felt for my life" too easily and see that in the majority of cases it holds up in criminal proceedings.

OT cops, how long is the training to become a police officer? What kind of stressful training situations are you put thru that may zero in on an individual who is trigger happy?

Why didn't he call police after the accident? Why would he just beat on a random door after an accident?

Its sad he was shot and killed though

This story isn't framed to get the reader drawing a particular conclusion or anything.

That whole deal is weird. I'm sure the cops didn't just arbitrarily shoot him. They had to have told him to stop first and he obviously didn't.

I'd like to see the autopsy report to see if he was on something.

Something similar happened to a friend if mine... He was involved in a bad wreck an was cut and bleeding. Cell phone was lost in the crash so he walked across the street and knocked on a door

Old woman walked out with a colt detective special. He throw his hands in the air and explains what happened and she opened fire hitting him once as he ran away

I bet it was in the country someplace.

I got lost looking for a girl's house. Knocked on the wrong door and the woman answered with a giant gun pointed at me.

I worked hard for that trim.

Do cops not know how to subdue a person without killing them? A shot to the leg or knee would drop anyone like a sack of bricks

A true OT stud would have talked the gun out of the woman's hand, screwed HER, THEN got directions to the other girl's home.

Wasn't it posted here a while back that only 1 of 9 shots fired by the police even hit the target at all...let's not have them get too specific...

Not sure if it is the cop or victim here, but someone is most definitely a tPOS in this story.

I was just an OT stud Prospect back then.

Didn't get shot, found the right house, nailed Jessica.

CNN reporting that the cop that shot him is being charged with voluntary manslaughter.
