I am bidding on some lsu Georgia tix and all the people driving up the price have 0 past transactions? I feel like the seller has several accounts and is just driving up the price.

One of my friends dated this girl and her mom was a big eBay seller. If she thought she could get more for an item, she would tell my buddy to get on and bid a certain amount

I know me and a buddy do the same thing when we sell our saints tickets. We just bid the price up to something we're willing to accept. We get other friends to help sometimes so ebay doesn't get suspicious.

It could be but considering eBay tracks this closely with IP addies and everything I doubt it. It's a lifetime ban and also can be considered to be fraud. eBay has actually pursued charges against people for doing it in the past.

I've thought this for a while. Just fo browse something generic like running shoes and look at what people are "paying" for shite they could by for 20$ less at academy

I've always just waited till the last few minutes to bid especially if not many others are bidding. Makes the most sense to me

Anyone can sell stuff on Amazon. It's what I do and I find I get more for it there because people seem to pay more due to trusting Amazon vs browsing eBay for the cheapest price possible.

It's not beneficial if you are selling a specialty item that no one will ever find on Amazon but for like reselling an iPhone or something it's great.

It is doubtful Ebay puts much effort into doing this, the higher an item sells for the more they profit. Everyone I know that does significant business on Ebay has multiple accounts. Those without the savy to deal with the IP address, just go to a coffee shop to bid on their own items.

I thought everything on eBay was "buy it now". 10 years ago it used to be fun

I haven't used ebay in probably 10 years so I don't know..but isn't there a minimum reserve that you're willing to accept? if you can set the minimum why does it even matter?
