the Dems in the Senate will block the CR if it excludes Obamacare.

And the republicans will take a political hit for shutting down the government.

Defunding Obama care is not the answer. Repealing and replacing it is the only real solution. Or, let it happen and deal with the consequences.

The GOP is so Fricked up right now I have zero confidence in them accomplishing anything other than caving into whatever the Democrats want.

Unfair comparison seeing as how the previous Speaker really does have a vagina, and she went full steam ahead when she had power.

Hers is bigger than Boehner's on any given day. You must not have heard she pee'd like a race horse in the chambers potted plants.

Boehner, Mccain, Graham they're all the same. They are statists, with an R beside their names.

How? Did he ever break 44% of the vote?

On the other hand, the Dem political media machine will spin it come midterms as Obamacare is so unsuccessful because Republicans didn't fully fund it.

I say either repeal it, or let it start affecting people. Since certain parts were delayed until 2015, it won't be fully implemented until after midterms.

Let Obamacare be the death of Dem Senators and Congressmen..gain seats in both houses and repeal that shite before 2015.

Here is the reason really dont want to do this. They can pass this bill in the house without funding Obama care. However when it gets to the senate they can add it back on, pass it and it goes back to the house. At this point the house will have to agree to senates version or govt shuts down. Dems can than say it was the repubs in the house who shut down the govt. sadly with the rules on the spending bills and dens control of senate the media will blame the repubs.
So this is why they are scared. They know the dem controlled media and the sheep me will buy the narrative it was the repubs fault when they take the last vote and can't pass a spending bill. The first version they did pass will be an afterthought by this time.

Clinton also had the media on his side which spun it ridiculously. Rush addressed this a few weeks ago. I'm all for a small shutdown.

IMO, the GOP should first threaten to shut down the government and actually follow through for one week.

After the week is up, go to the negotiation table and say we will only sign a CR if a waiver is put in place for all everyone, just like unions, corporations and government workers.

Fair is fair.

Instead we have a bunch of pussies that won't even walk up to the negotiation table.

I remembers this. When it was all said and done the GOP loss 5 seats (which was expected in a GOP dominated house) and gained 2 in the senate. The GOP also got welfare reform through and a balanced budget too. Gingrich forced Clinton to move to the center and triangulate. I'm still waiting to see how Clinton benefited.

BTW Clinton didn't win a second term due to the government shut down, he won because Dole sucked.

the senate picked up 2 seats., not sure what happened in the House. Most of the negativity was media related and not a True representation of what happened , just like the sequester.
