How do you feel about having your child on a leash?

It use to be somthing I would just laugh about in my head when I saw this, but now that i have kids of my own it makes me cringe inside. To me its a obvious sign of someone who cant control their kids or they just to fat to catch them if they run.

Enables lazy parents to be lazy. Hate it. FIL (old-timer) actually confronts people about it. Pretty comical.

I don't have a child with a disability, but I can understand how those parents would feel safer using them.

For normal kids, I say no...but it's hard to tell what kids are normal and what ones aren't simply by appearance.

totally understandable. kids have to earn their freedom in public. They fricking act like animals, get treated like animals. A leash could save a life. don't be so parental judgmental. I bet you're the same parent that judges me when i spank the shite out my kid in the shoe store cause he's ain't listening to me.

I'd do it, if my kids were dogs.

They are not dogs, so I hold/held their hands when we were going places and they needed to be in arm's reach.

I called it..."Parenting."

you spank the shite out of your kid, but your kid acts like an animal and needs a leash?

i have 24, 16 and 14 year old daughters - i never used a "leash" with any of them.

i have a 3 year old boy and it's a different story. i'll leash, shock collar, hog tie, suitcase his arse if that's what it takes to keep him from running out in traffic, jumping off a cliff, knocking someone down...

so...

I thought dogs and kids were equal here? Or that dogs are slightly above kids...

are you implying that spanking is animalistic in nature cause i've never seen an animal spank before.

To be fair, some kids are beyond normal "parenting" and for their safety and the well being of the parents, they are better off on a leash.

Sad fact, but a kid with anxiety issues who runs into traffic and gets hit because a passing car blew his horn can easily be prevented.

Like the wheelchairs at Disney World....they are a great tool for people who need them and offer access to alot of people that normally were left out, but sadly are used by wayyyyyyy too many people who don't need them and are just lazy disgusting people.

I have never put him on a leash but I don't judge people who do bc I've sometimes wished I had one.
