But that's just me.

I agree lets be fair! We need to stop giving "aid" to all of them until we get our own shite together!

As far as resources that is more about trade agreements then Billions in worthless aid. I don't see where the US is getting shite from Africa for this $7 billion investment.

And as for the Bush comment someone else made, i don't support that shite either. Although at that time our economy hadn't circled the drain yet.

That would be fair, but would be a radical shift. Would we then have to close all of our overseas bases and bring all of our troops home?

As someone who has been stationed at some of them, I would have no problem with that.

That being said, leasing land, bases, treaties and SOFA agreements are not the same as free aid. We should not be handing over money to foreign nations in the name of improving infrastructure when ours is crumbling.

Exactly. How about a fricking initiative to stop the 3 murders a day, fix the potholes in Lakeview, and revamp our infrastructure?

At our expense as taxpayers, you're right on. Now if private business is willing to puke up all the money for this green energy push, then I don't have a problem with it. Do expect higher energy prices no matter who develops the green thing.

But the White House tours are still suspended indefinitely while he and MO are travelling in style and handing out taxpayers' money with impunity. Yeah, forward!

Yes, unless we have a legit interest in that country let us show everyone how much they rely on us.

How can he do this. Doesn't the house have to approve of this spending?

The same way he can shut down the coal industry and foist "skyrocketing" electricity prices on us. Because the House don't have the balls to take a real stand.

Forget the political process...it's done. Political discourse requires HONESTY. It'll be big events that drive our future.
