While the left may hate her, it appears nobody in Britain liked her all that much

However there appears to be a limit to the public appetite for all things Thatcher-related. A peak-time BBC1 90-minute obituary, narrated by Andrew Marr and broadcast on Monday night, attracted fewer than 3 million viewers. News bulletins providing blanket coverage of the death failed to record a viewing rise.

Be proud, little liberal, and all those like you. This is quite an accomplishment.

Meh, there was a national dart tournament on the telly, and a rerun of a shitty soccer game as well, proof that the English aren't far removed from their American cousins.

It will be hilarious when the UK fully destroys itself from its Godless socialism. Sadly it looks like we are not far behind...

She got more votes, and a higher percentage of the vote, in her third election than her first. That's incredible.

Demonstrates how weak their argument is when they resort to this. Cannot argue their case on the merits so they turn to mockery instead.

Pretty bad when I long for the days of Tip O'Neill (RIP).

Tip was a true believer but was also pragmatic. Not an ideologue. He and Reagan provided superb bi-partisan leadership.

Yeah, all she did was keep England from going deep into recession. Oh, but she broke the unions, so she's bad...

"I sure miss the days of uncollected garbage piling up in the streets of England, ambulance drivers, coal miners, nurses on strike. Rolling black outs, Government ownership of 10% of the economy, staganating private enterprise, smothered under government regs, of the 'Winter of Discontent', ca. 1978-79", said no one ever.

So many Brits claimed Americans were "barbaric" when we celebrated after getting Bin Laden.

They celebrate when one of their own former leaders dies.

Their country is a rapidly deteriorating cesspool. They'll be living under Sharia in 10-15 years in all reality the way things are going over there.
