He got a lot more applause than the dumbass that asked the question.

man i really do laugh when i watch clips of talks like this, where people have these long-winded, pre-planned questions that go on for 30-60 seconds before they even get to their question

Worst part this cat was reading someone else's question from a phone.

I try to remember what it was like being young and stupid. I remember asking some politician some inane-adult-sounding question riddled with faulty assumptions at Presidential Classroom in DC when I was in HS. Glad that tape doesn't exist...

a simple rule for scenarios like these is, "if you can't ask your question on your own, you probably shouldn't be asking it here"

That wasn't even his question. There is a 90% chance it was emailed to him.

That question posed to Rand reminds me of this tweet by Andrew Wilkow

quote:

The idea #democrats posit, that we have only 2 choices nihilism or central planning, eliminates the entire framework of the #constitution

I was 18 and talking about how Gary Hart's imminent Nomination might have some effect on Polish Potato crops and lead to Soviet reprisals in certain Romanian acrobatic clans, or some such nonsensical (but adult-sounding) bull shite that I hoped would impress some chick from Puerto Rico named Glori...

Rand did a great job of answering the guy's question without sounding condesending.

Rand is very quick on his feet, very well communicated. Wasn't there another guy called the great communicator somewhere in history?
