What is the breakdown of YOUR paycheck?
Posted by TogaParty on 4/6 at 10:30 am
I bring in about $2500-3200 after taxes. (not a baller, but I get by)

Based off getting in $2500.

Rent: ~ 30%
Regular bills (phone, insurance, electric): ~15%
Variables (gas, food, etc) : ~20%
Savings: ~30%

5% is usually a buffer for an extra night out or stuff like that.

The problem I have with that is your "better" years are your younger ones.

You are basically doing without for a better tomorrow.

Without knowing if you will be in a state to enjoy it, or even there to see it.

I wish

being single with no dependants sucks. Last pay check was $2400 (bi-weekly) before taxes and I ended up with $1600.

I gross about $3750 every 2 weeks, from the 3 jobs. I clear about $2750, and I'm married and have 3 dependents. You're not doing that badly.

(I'm not counting retirement and health insurance in the take home amount, though.)

Sounds like some solid financial budgetting and a good plan for your future. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the advice. We will be just fine

ETA: but I was curious so I did actually track it the last few months and that 95% number is pretty much spot on

A paycheck means reporting to the IRS.
