My local bank doesn't do it.

NVM just noticed you had to purchase the foreign currency from them for them to purchase back.

Most large regional banks should be able to accommodate. It might depend on the amount you want to sell though.

Weird.

I did it at Regions Bank once.

Of course, coins are a no go.

Chase Bank. If you are not a customer of theirs, there will probably be some type of fee charged for doing the exchange. Come to think of it, even if you are a customer, there may be a fee charged.

How much are you exchanging?

I may be traveling to Europe this summer and if so, I'll need some euros. We might work something out to save us both some money....as long as you don't want to exchange the euros for bitcoins.

I remember going to the Cap1 on Bluebonnet and Anselmo to exchange euros for dollars. This was like 5 years ago though, maybe more.

Any Chase Bank location?

I'm only exchanging about 30 euro.

Probably so.

Why not just call them to find out?

With that small of an amount I would just hold on to them for the next time you travel to Europe. You're talking about less than $40 and any exchange fee at all would decrease that.

You'd be better off donating the euros to a charity and getting them to give you a receipt for the current dollar exchange value and deducting the amount from your taxes....assuming you itemize on your taxes.

I honestly wouldn't bother getting Euros in BR. Wait until you get to Europe, you won't be able to avoid finding somewhere to do it. There will probably be 3-4 places in the airport alone.

Can you just deposit them into your account?

Last time I ordered foreign currency, there was a $200 minimum.

Every time I've gone overseas I just went to the local exchange place and bought less local currency than I thought I needed. Somehow I always managed to get home with dribs and drabs.

I never buy currency. Capital One offers currency spot prices on card transactions and ATM withdrawals, no fees other than using non Capital One ATMs. Never end up with more than 10E or so when I get back.
