Anyone else feel bad when your dog follows you around the house?

Especially late at night. Every time I get up he follows me even though he looks absolutely exhausted. The second I sit back down, he lays at my feet and falls back to sleep. I feel bad that he gets up but oh well, that's his choice.

Have to love the loyalty of dogs.

Yep my little chihuahua does this when I go to the kitchen late at night. He'll follow me, plop down, and look up at me while trying to keep his eyes open. I'm like, "Go to bed if you're tired, brah" and he's like "arf".

I don't have a dog, but I do live with a cat and that stupid thing follows me everywhere even though it isn't mine.

Can't stand the little bastard rubbing its stupid face on me. Scruffy ain't its damn property!

Meh. My third person is on the shelf at the moment. Psychiatrist said that he isn't very nice.

My dog, when I had one, was my shadow. I couldn't go take a piss without him trying to get into the bathroom door before I closed it. Sometimes it's so lovable, and sometimes it's downright annoying. Always in your feet when trying to cook and shite.

My whole house is hardwood. The pups follow my girl and I like we are leaving town. Their nails sound like they are tap dancing. Wake up to piss or get ready for work and it's like fudge, lay down already. Specifically if you are the one still trying to sleep. If awake, cute and endearing as all get out. Cannot shake them as if they are you very own shadow.

My lab is kenneled in the living room at night but our older dog stays in our room. If I get up, he just gets in my spot in the bed.

I have a lab that stays under my feet all the time. And no, she is not going to sleep in my bed. I draw the line there.

I am not familiar with this problem. Mine opens one eye, looks at me like "what the hell are you doing up at this ungodly hour?", then goes back to sleep.

I have two little stalkers. I love when they go to the bedroom door and sit there and look at me until I go to bed.

My lab does the tap dancing thing too. If I don't put the child gate up at night, she'll tap dance in the morning from one side of the bed to the other, putting her head down on the mattress to wake me or the wife up in the morning!

If it was up to the wife, that dog would be in the pound...

My chocolate lab follows me everywhere around the house. If he decides to go lay down when I'm cleaning or cooking, he'll still be watching.

Well this isn't what I wanted to read this morning. My dog was tragically killed Tuesday. She was only 1.5 years old. She would follow me everywhere. If I went outside to pee, so did she. When I would get up from my recliner at 9 o'clock at night she would bolt out of her bed and run to the back door because she thought that's where I was going. I miss my pup.

I feel especially bad when I close the bedroom door right in his face.

But I'm able to console myself with the fact that 90% of the time he comes in, gets on the bed, and then wants to get down like 15 or 20 minutes later.

Feel bad? No.

It's outright annoying sometimes... but I guess it's sweet that they want to be with us.
