Abortion is murder. Murder is a sin.

I'm libertarian and I'm pro-choice.

I am not sure there is a universal position. If you believe the fetus is a a living human being as I do then your pro life, if you don't than you pro choice.

i got back and forth on abortion. i think it's definitely morally wrong (i do believe in exceptions when the pregnant person didn't consent to the sex), but i don't know if it rises to a crime

I would imagine it would come down to each individual's personal beliefs, just like with any other group.

That is, if you believe a fetus is nothing more than a collection of cells, then obviously that cell mass would not have liberty to protect (or certainly not more than the host)

On the other hand, if you believe a fetus is an individual, then its rights need to be guarded (even if it means the host is inconvenienced for a few months.)

well, I believe it is a human life but I recognize its a large grey area and a large part of my reasons for believing its a human life are religious in nature, and I don't think things like that should be regulated federally. I don't agree with abortion but I don't think my beliefs need to be enforced with federal law.

How does the non-aggression principle work for the fetus?

Realistically though, Libertarianism shouldn't have an "official" position. It comes down to your believe as to when life begins.

I would have to agree with your statement but I disagree with abortion. Then again, who am I to tell someone how to live their life? That's between them and God. There's plenty of things I've done that people wouldn't agree with.

Exactly. Not really different than any other group.

I'm fairly certain Ron Paul, at least, is anti-abortion.

I'm leaning Libertarian, and am against abortion but think it's a lost cause. If anything, state and locals should decide what they want to do on the issue.

Woman's right alone until the child acquires rights

Abortion is one of the most contentious issues amongst libertarians. If you believe that the fetus is a person with rights, then NAP protects them. If you believe, like Walter Block, that the fetus is a parasite then NAP doesn't protect them.

We all agree on the application of NAP, we just don't agree on whether/when the fetus becomes a person.

Im pro choice for the rights of the child, and I would say 100% of aborted babies wished they were allowed to keep living.

but isn't that the core of the issue?

"Child"? Or baby?

...or fetus?

When does a human first acquire rights is the question at hand.
