Let me rephrase. Mary wants nothing at all to do with Mitch running for gov.

I find that very hard to believe... It would only benefit her IMHO

This is who is running for sure.

Vitter
Kennedy
Dardenne
Strain
John Bell Edwards

Might Run
M. Landrieu
B. Cassidy
R. Alexander
S. Angelle

Of all of those my top 3 in this order would be:

S. Angelle
M. Strain
D. Vitter

I see it being a Vitter/ Dardenne battle...

Vitter probably takes it due to New Orleans and overall name recognition at this point.

Also the lone Vitter controversy happened 10yrs ago and made amends with wife and God long before the incident was even discovered...

It might actually work out for LA because Vitter neither possesses a spine nor balls.

Apparently he's pissed of more than the folks you mentioned. Bobby's approval rating was less than 40% in the last poll I saw.

A Democrat as Gov would be bad, the legislature is filled with old guard Dems who switched to R's to be reelected; see "Alario". Also I don't want anyone from the New Orleans area. They are already trying to force us back to the system of pay them off to win.

I actually like Kennedy neither he nor Dardenne is really Conservative, but Kennedy has told us where the money is really going.

Most State pols are just RINO's in LA. There are a few die hards, but most need local support and LA is a very populist state. It may not seem so in BR, but it is everywhere else. Also, any high profile Black politician that wants to run will skew the election severely. Who knows, Kip may decide to run?

It is literally wide open untill a Black candidate announces.

Hmmm dardenne will run, but do you want the floor leader for the stelli plan as governor? He will probably win it though.

Cassidy is running for Mary's senate seat.

Not sure about Boustany.

We wouldn't be in the fiscal mess we're in if we still had the StellY Plan.

I just want a full time La. governor who actually working in the State for the State; not out of State working on his national resume. As the saying goes, paraphrasing, "it's shame to waste a mind", and that's exactly what Bobby has done with his, at least as far as actually helping the State of La. goes.

I no longer trust any politician, even if they go in with good intentions it seems most become self serving for themselves and Their friends. So I say frick all of the.. Of course that's just me.
