Cutting Diet...it's that time of year

Hey guys, wanted to run by you my plan to lean up before Spring and Summer and see what you guys thought. I have been lifting/doing cardio for a while and can get pretty lean but really want to take it to the next level and this is what I have come up with. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I plan to cut out simple carbs (white bread, fruit, etc) and eat only whole grains. No carbs at all after about 3:00. Eat 4-5 times a day mainly veggies, lean meats, fish, almonds, etc. Drink nothing but water and black coffee in the morning. Try to get in a gallon of water a day. Any other suggestions?

If you plan on putting that much hard work into you diet, why dont you just leave the black coffee out?

I would try for more than a gallon to curve that appetite a little more. I drink about 2 a day on workout days. Give interval training a shot and eat a lot of fruits. They are low in calories but will hold you over for awhile. When I did my serious cut I was only eating about 900-1200 calories a day. It hurt but it came off quick and was sustainable after I brought my diet back up.


Eta I was drinking protein like crazy though to keep my levels up and not lose muscle. I don't really count pure protein on calories.

Don't do this

Coffee is like a the HOV lane. Helps grease the organs and speed up the exit process.

I know a lot of people that mistake being hungry for being thirsty. If you drink a whole lot of water some of that hunger will go away and let your body eat some of those fat deposits. Negative side is you piss like crazy.

I have been doing Interval running for a while now and seen some good results. Only thing is it kills my shins. Averaging about 3-4 days a week of this.

I usually drink about a gallon just while working out. The method I use I learned from a few buddies that used to cut to make weight for different types of competition. You don't have to do it very long and it will work. I did pure cardio and this diet and lost 21 lbs in about three weeks. Started my normal diet back up after and gained about two back so my net was 19.

Do Intermediate Fasting. Eat all your calories from 12-8 everyday and do your workout right before you eat at 12. shite is awesome. Fat melts off. Use the same diet you were talking about.
