Maybe it's just early in the morning, but I laughed when I read this. Sorry AJF.

Google tells me 238,900 miles. I'm guessing that's an average.

The moon is bright and looks like a fricking onion.

Really? Would not happen.

Seeing as how people knew about this asteroid before they found out it was going to miss the Earth, id say it would.

It even came out their plan to knock it off course if it continued towards earth.

I was surprised at how close it's going to get to the earth.

Only 17,000 miles out which is much closer than the Moon and within satellite orbit range.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson said that it literally missed us by 15 minutes.

An asteroid about half the size of a football field will pass nearer to Earth than any other known object of its size today at 2:24pm EST/19:24 GMT (1:24PM Louisiana time)

They say it won't effect our satellites. How in da fuq do they know this for sure?

If it takes out any satellite I hope it takes out a certain REAL SHITTY internet service providers satellite that I won't say their name cuz they monitor everywhere I post and cut off pages under their fair use act and are the worst internet provider on earth and they suck big balls.

just watched a video on this...say it will pass 28,000KM away...our satelites orbit around 2,000KM but we have more that orbit around 35,000KM.

The moon is also 380,000KM...this is how close this bad boy will pass to us.
