Can't remeber. It was barely over $100. All I neede it for was a micro sd card slot and pdf reading. My point was just that I had a positive experience with the refurb.

I guess I'm not going to get an answer about these awesome refurb deals and all the money saved. I know the answer, just wanted to see how deep the shite got.

They're usually, what, 10-15% cheaper I guess? Even if you only save 10 dollars, what's the problem if you get the same warranty? Refurbished doesn't mean used, it means it either had a defect that has been repaired (and the machine has actually been tested if it wasn't before), or it was returned unused by the original buyer and it's not allowed to be sold again as "new".

I'm not sure where this "shit" is that you're talking about.

Refurbished does often mean used, especially when it comes to PCs, laptops and monitors. These are typically equipment that has come back from business leases. The brands you'll see most often are IBM/Lenovo, HP, and Dell.

OK, I should have said "doesn't necessarily mean used", but even so the point remains. If you can pay less money for identical hardware and warranty, why wouldn't you?

I bought a refurb from Overstock. Lasted 6 months. Which happened to be when the warranty was up. POS lenovo.
