Blast From the Past:... Arcadia: So Red the Rose (1985) A forgotten/underappreciated gem of the 80s... When Robert Palmer borrowed half of Duran Duran to form Power Station... The rest of 'em did a much better album as Arcadia. Top to bottom a great listen. Simon LeBon's voice in top form. Full Album on Youtube Some music video highlights: arcadia - goodbye is forever (HD) arcadia - the flame (hq) On the mellow side... Arcadia - The Promise Take a good listen to who's singing background vocals starting with the first chorus. Another good one never released as a single... Arcadia - Keep Me In The Dark ETA: By popular demand: Arcadia - election day / standard version (HD) This post was edited on 2/12 at 5:08 pm Reply Back to Top

Sting? Reply Back to Top
No. "Election Day" was pretty much Arcadia's biggest hit. Reply Back to Top
I know that, I was saying Sting to the background vocals in the Arcadia song Reply Back to Top

I enjoyed The Power Station as well. Obviously the hits 'Some Like It Hot' & 'Bang A Gong' but I really like 'Lonely Tonight' The production and vocals in the song are killer. Lonely Tonight Reply Back to Top
Always liked the beginning of this one and the use of baritone sax. Power Station - Murderess Reply Back to Top
quote: Yeah... but I figured that's the one that everybody had heard so I didn't include it. I'll ETA it. quote: He never pulled that many "cameos" so I always thought it was pretty cool. It's weird listening to the whole album... feels a like it's leaning a little towards the Camouflage sound (except Simon's voice). This post was edited on 2/12 at 5:05 pm Reply Back to Top Refresh |
