It's already regarded as the dirtiest sport

Tyler Hamilton already covered it all in his book.

He should have admitted to doping in a book. Make money, Lance.

Maybe...but it won't have the same effect because nobody gives a shite about cycling.

Which is really the only reason I can think of that he would come so clean now.

Money.

the bombs have been dropped. Lance was the only one anyone ever cared about outing.

I agree. Did the other books implicate the sport or just the guys who were in it?

Cycling is the dirtiest fricking sport out there, and everyone knows it. What made LA so amazing was not just that he beat cancer, but that he was apparently dominiating a dirty sport while remaining clean.

Frankly, they should have let him keep his TdF titles because the next ten cyclists were doping/cheating in some fashion as well.

Cycling is not a sport.

You thought Armstong was amazing. Lulz. He is now and has always been a douche.

I don't think he'll do it in a book, but he did mention that he would like to participate in a truth and reconciliation commission if the UCI conducted one. Also, if you watched the Oprah interview, he went to great lengths to admit his PED use without ratting anybody else out.

UCI officials, coaches, managers, doctors, etc.

Baseball, which didn't even have testing until 2003, is far dirtier than cycling and so is football. Sports like cycling and track & field have a lot more drug busts because they test so much more than the NFL and MLB, and their testing is so much more sophisticated. The average cyclist gets tested more times in one year than the average baseball player will get tested in a career. If you were to ask Trindon Holliday how much more track & field drug tests than football, his answer would shock you.

After demanding loyalty from everyone, he would be a double douchebag/hypocrite to name names. Nobody likes a rat. This is what I expected him to do. Lance should have realized before deciding to do this that he won't get his lifetime ban reduced if he's not willing to rat others out. WADA has already said he's got to tell everything he knows before they would consider reducing his ban.

UCI officials, coaches, managers, doctors, etc.

Specifically Johan Bruyneel, maybe Michele Ferrari, but he's already banned for life. But they want to know the whole system—who were the suppliers, who were the runners, techniques used to hide usage during events, techniques used to beat the tests. Lance knows an awful lot that WADA wants to learn to refine their anit-doping efforts.

You make some good points. Lance can tell them where all the bodies are buried, and they're going to expect him to lead them to the graves if he expects leniency.

This is exactly what I was getting out. There is more to it than just who juiced. The juicers could be next. All of them and their affiliates.

But I have to admit, I had not watched the interview in its entirety until today. He went to great lengths not to name people and to make it appear like he was going to rat anyone out.

Doing it after that would make him more of a douche than he has come out to be.

Sad really. I liked Armstrong. I actually thought he had done more good than bad. That may not be the truth now.
