Of course I was exaggerating. But your posts often are sarcastic.

you responded to me, so I assumed your post was directed to me. Hence, the confusion on my part.

Out of every game in his career or even this season, this was the toughest? And he played poorly, so this is some excuse? I'm not buying that this was his toughest challenge. That's pure drivel.

Well, I think it's safe to say his toughest game of his career has probably happened in this season since it is the first season where he is the full time starter. And I dont want to make excuses for him but he did have some obstacles going into this game. He played against a top 10ish PG, he played 36 minutes the night before (and played around 41 minutes in this game), our top scorer was out, and he was playing with a cold. That's a lot to overcome. I'm not willing to say this was his toughest game of his career because only Vasquez knows the answer to that. But I'm sure this game was up there.

I'm use sarcasm often. Just making sure.

And sorry for the confusion. I just replied to the last post in the thread.

I would offer up a Thunder game as a greater challenge. An offensive powerhouse in Westbrook to handle with the best scorer on his side and a championship level team.

Vs: the sniffles.

I dunno 42, he made pretty good points as to why it was a tough game for him.

And when you start a game shooting poorly and the defense can key in on you without Gordon, I can see it as an "overcoming adversity" game.

Difficult? Harder than normal for use.

Most difficult? I don't see it. He didn't have Gordon for many games and faced monsters in the game, but without a reported cold / flu / ailment. Games were he was ripped to shreds on defense and the team lost by double digits might indicate greater difficulty.

I'm not gonna sit here and argue which was his hardest game. I never said this was his hardest game. Like I said, only Vasquez knows the answer to that. But you're making it seem like this wasn't a tough game for him. I think it's definitely one of his toughest games he's played so far. Probably not the toughest, but I'm willing to bet it's up there.

I honestly dont even remember how I found it. But I thought the picture was hilarious and decided to make it my avatar. I always assumed it was a mugshot of a guy covered in cocaine.

I am not trying to justify him I just wanted to make the point that his adjustment in the second half as well as the way he pushed the offense (considering the conditions he was playing in) shows that he has matured a lot as a player.

At the beginning of the season when he started a game down he just kept digging down and often took ridiculous shots etc. Last game, even though he missed a lot of shots, most of them were actually good looks that he has been making consistently but could not execute last night.

He did not force many bad penetrations on the second half. In fact most of the times he penetrated he got to the rim (and often missed.

In summary I probably should have picked a different title, because I agree only he can tell which has been the hardest game he has played, but he did show that he is capable to take the team to a win against a hard team, without Gordon, and without being 100% physically.

Not sure how you would end up covered in cocaine to that extent, but seems like a helluva party.

ETA - I'm almost tempted to crop that pic of Russell Simmons for you....

I'd consider changing that to my avatar

Hazelnut, I'm not talking smack on you or Vasquez. The point of the thread is the claim that this game was the hardest of Vasquez' career. It's not like this is some `fight' of which I'm fanning the flames.

Vasquez's performance was fine, and I am in no way upset by his turnovers or lower performance whether the reason for it be the other team, his own struggles, or just random variation in whatever combination.

I don't think it's his hardest game and I don't think it's why he had more turnovers than his lower than average number. I think he had more turnovers because every game can't be his best and the other team had some good guards.

You are talking to a GV fan here. It pains me to think that Smith and him are our best assets to make some small changes if we make some this season. Sickens me. But their good play and good contracts make it so.
