Where do y'all have Rony Seikaly on your lists?

No. Brad was more skilled, for sure, but he wasn't a better player. Brad retired early, so Dwight has already played more games. Career averages:
Ppg: Brad +.6
Rpg: Dwight +3.5
Apg: Brad + 2.2
Bpg: Dwight +1.5
Spg: Dwight +.2
FG%: Dwight +.045
FT%: Brad +.159

It's not a blowout, but give me the center that rebounds and is a defensive presence.

Again, you have to consider the competition each player is playing against.

When Brad played, he was going up against legit centers who were skilled at the position. Howard is often going up against PF's playing the center position, or centers who just aren't that skilled.

Imagine if some of those 90's centers were playing the position against some of the centers in today's NBA. Their stats would be off the charts.

Willis was another quality guy. It seems like there were so many 15-20 years ago. Was it rule/style changes that minimized the roles of centers?

I don't think Willis is in the conversation of top Centers. I would rather had Vlade.

Sabonis needs to be in the conversation if Willis is.

Nope just a lack of talent at the position

I have no clue. It wasn't that long ago that Shaq and Yao were dominating.

I know the game has changed as far as other positions go. Players are more versatile now. You get big guys who can also shoot outside shots and are athletic enough to dribble like a guard and create their own shot.

But that mostly has to do with the forward positions.

Centers today seem to play more of a pick-and-roll style of basketball and spread out on the court more.

I don't notice centers going down on the block and calling for the ball as much as they used to.

How about Rick Smits.

Willis wasn't a top center (didn't he play a lot of PF with Koncak at C?). He was a second tier guy, and there were many in the 90s. Sabonis would have wrecked shop had he arrived 10 years earlier - think Dirk prototype.

I think Dale had a better offensive game than DH

You have to go with Zo. Minus Howard's abysmally poor FT percentage, it's pretty similar.

they are not similar. Do people not realize Howard is a 4 or 5 time rebounding champ? Zo averaged like 8 boards a game.

Howard like 13 or 14 a game.

Brad Daugherty? lol. hahahahahahahaha

Zo averaged 10 rebounds a game in his prime and was better offensively and defensively than Dwight is.

he played 16 seasons and averaged double digit rebounds 4xs

dwight howard has done it 9xs already.

offensively they are equals, Zo was a better shot blocker but Howard has a better defensive presence

age 22-27 comparison (Zo came into league at 22 as a 4yr college player....Howard is 27 now. So i used that window).

Zo 21.1 PPG 10.1 RPG 2.9 BLK

Howard 20.3 PPG 13.8 RPG 2.5 BPG

Yes now when you take in to consideration that Zo was guarding the other teams best PF/C(Patrick Ewing/Derrick Coleman) almost every night while Dwight doesn't guard anybody(Eric Dampier/Nazr Mohammed) you realize Zo>>>>>Dwight
