| Tim Horton to Auburn Posted by aw4au14 Runningback's coach at Arky in 2007. He was retained by Petrino and promoted to runningbacks coach, tight ends coach, and recruiting coordinator at Arkansas. Another great recruiter and coach. I'd heard he's really good before but I just looked at his rivals profile page and he was the lead recruiter for Tyler Wilson Jarius Wright Brey Cook Knile Davis Ronnie Wingo Jr Darius Winston Joe Adams Brey Cook Brandon Allen Greg Childs Byran Jones Dennis Johnson Pretty much he was the lead recruiter for all of the studs Arkansas has put out the past few years. You'd think they were all 3 stars but they're actually all 4 stars besides Darius Winston who was a 5 star, and Greg Childs and Dennis Johnson were 3 stars. Looks like he was their ace recruiter. | Was the East Texas recruiting go to. Although he didn't land too many of the best ETx had to offer he knows the area very well and is very well respected/liked by area HS coaches. GL to him. Reply Back to Top |

| Don't know about his recruiting, but he should be able to make Gus some good coffee.... Reply Back to Top |
quote: He let probably more than half of the good instate talent that we targeted leave. That was his main job and he failed at it repeatedly This post was edited on 1/4 at 12:53 pm Reply Back to Top |

| Good riddance. I like TH he's a class act and a nice guy. However as a coach and "ace recruiter" he's not even mediocre. Reply Back to Top |
| I hope we attempt to strip the ball on their TEs from now on. Good chance they'll cough it up Reply Back to Top |

quote: Adams and Wilson were offered by Petrion, not Horton. Several other on the list were already being recruited and committed literally days after he was hired. Davis and Wingo were out of his recruiting territory and were Allen/Mcgee/Caldwell recruits. Allen was an Allen recruit as Allen is Allen's son. But if Rivals said its so, it must be. Horton's recruiting territory was Arkansas and Memphis, he got 2 recruits out of Memphis in 7 years and you guys know how many recruits he lost to Auburn and he lost Tenpenny to Bama, Clay to Tulsa, and Dixon to LaTEch, so if that is an Ace Recruiter, then yeah, that's an Ace Recruiter.
