I was just excited he finally proposed  Seriously, he wanted to save up for a lil longer to get a nicer ring for me. I hope every time she looks at it she remembers that at one time I was charming enough to convince her without the fancy smoke and mirrors I now require to maintain this marriage. The amount you spend on the ring is honestly a drop in the bucket for what you will spend in your lifetime and it isn't like you are throwing it away, it will always be there.
