Any drink priced under $10 and 25% off cocktails priced more than $10.

$300 / 7 days = $42.86 per day

7 beers + tax + gratuity > $42.86
5 cocktails + tax + gratuity > $42.86

It only takes a rate of 1 beer every 2 hours to drink 7 in a long day.

The port days will give you somewhat less time to drink the 7 if you get off the ship.

Obviously, Carnival marketing has done some research and figured they could make a little more money per person by doing this. But it is like an all-you-can-eat buffet. If you are in the top half of the consumers, you will likely come out ahead.

Does anyone think there could be more alcohol incidents? I notice this is just on a trial basis.....on select ships.

I've done this in the past.

Unfortunately even this doesn't work anymore...

Probably because they want to arrive at the home port with the same number of passengers that they departed with. I could see an "all you can drink" program causing more drunks falling overboard.

I do like that all adults in the cabin are forced to purchase this, it will cut down on it's usage.

We would blow through $100 in a couple of hours on cruises. 4 buckets of beer puts you over $100, and that doesn't include the random shots we would toss in.

$300 each would be well worth it for the cruise duration.

I've heard it's pretty tough to get away with it. People have told me that they check every bottle in your bag, and if any type of bottle isn't factory sealed they'll catch you.

I usually bring three or four 2 liters of clear rum in my carry on with no problem. It's my alcohol in my checked bag that has gotten confiscated the last three cruises I have been on. I think my name is red flagged. Lol.

My last 7 day cruise I had a $1500 bar tad and one of the bartenders was hooking us up with drinks. They'll lose money on my party.

You may need a 12 step program.

Order a few bottles of wine a night that you have actually heard of and you can run it up quickly.

I went on a Carnival cruise last year. I tried to sneak booze on but was caught. Ended up spending well over $400 on alcohol, and I only got real drunk once during the 5 days. if this is real, this deal is legit.

Awesome if true. Hopefully royal carribean gets on board with the idea.

Is that only for a 7 day cruise?

As of now, it's for cruises 6 days and longer.

I think it's $42.95/per day plus 15% gratuity, and you have to get it for the entire cruise length.
