| Do our coaches watch any of these bowl games? Posted by Missile And I don't mean Chavis. Seriously, if our play callers adopted just a few plays from some of these creative minds, we'd be unstoppable. There's some damn good plays being run from some of these "lesser" schools. Reply Back to Top |
| Are you sarcastically talking about the 13-10 VTech Rutgers bowl? Reply Back to Top |
| No, our coaches do not watch game film. Reply Back to Top |
| Our offense has kept us in the hunt for championships since Stud took over. That is what really matters, haven't you heard Reply Back to Top |
| Isn't it painful? Reply Back to Top |
| Well we can't even execute our pee wee play book properly. What makes you think we can be creative? We ran the option a couple of times with an immobile QB who trips over him self. What does that tell you? This post was edited on 12/28 at 10:03 pm Reply Back to Top |
| Where are those offenses in the championship? Have you seen notre dames offense? I forgot about the spread that Bama is running Reply Back to Top |
| Sammy, I'm not advocating a Div III gimmicky offense on a consistent basis, but how about some occasional creativity that utilizes mismatches? Reply Back to Top |
| We don't need the spread offense. Just an offense that can execute. We have had a few games where we did, but Arkansas game proved we are just inconsistent with what we even have. I agree, Notre dames offense is inept. Bama doesn't run spread either, but they can execute in its own system. Reply Back to Top |
| I agree with missile. We have got a lot of room for improvement when it comes to offensive ingenuity. A lot of room. Reply Back to Top |
| LSU plays in 3 days, it's a little late to be getting ideas from teams that aren't as good to start with. Reply Back to Top |
| I think we will see more 3 and 4 WR sets in LSU's future. No spread offense, just seeing more than the typical pro set. Reply Back to Top |

quote: Man, I hope that you're right. A quick slant for a 1st down when it's 3rd & 2 instead of a 2 tight end set with Ware as QB & Ford as the option man would be nice. Just to have the confidence & ability to execute a throw on this type of down would be fantastic & would have the defense guessing vs "here comes the same play you know is coming - I dare you to stop us." | Have to agree with OP. The guys we have designing plays have the imagination of a oak tree. Reply Back to Top |
quote: This is fricking dumb. The OP isn't talking about Bama, Notre Dame, or spread offenses. He's talking about LSU being more creative on offense. But of course we're fricking perfect and Les is king of the world, so don't dare question our awesome offense. Chicken Bowl! Reply Back to Top |
quote: I have to agree with all of your negacrybabies. LSU should copy 8-4 teams. Then all of you would really have some thing to LSU being a perpetual 9-3,8-4 would be a perfect heaven for you wouldn't it? Reply Back to Top |
quote: At the college level you need execution of basic plays more than something imaginative that gets fricked up half the time. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
