Official AR-15 thread Posted by Carson123987 So as not to flood the board, please direct all AR-15 related questions, comments, inquiries, pr0n, deals, etc in here. Building For potential builders, here is an awesome step by step guide that I refer beginners too. Very well-done. It should be able to answer a lot of questions, and for people who may be on the fence about building, this may help them make up their minds. LINK Recommendations In light of recent events, a lot of people are interested in getting an AR out of fear of future restrictions. Here are a few ARs from good manufacturers that are priced in the $800-$1200 range Bravo Company Machinery Recce 16 - LINK Rock River Arms Tactical Operator 2 - LINK Spikes Tactical ST15 - LINK Stag Model 2T - LINK A bit more expensive, but Colt LE6920. I'd pop off the handguard and throw some DD Omega Rails on it. - LINK For higher-end ARs, check out Noveske (my favorite), Daniel Defense, Larue, LWRC, Knight Armament, LMT Magazines In the world of AR-15 magazines, there is only one that you should consider buying: The Magpul PMAG. There is usually always a deal to get some in bulk for reduced cost somewhere on the internet. There was a deal where you could get 10 for $100, but they sold out very fast. I've been looking for some deals, but can't find any right now. I will update with link(s) when I find some. Olgoi Khorkoi and Bapple are really knowledgeable guys, and they give great advice. Please try and keep all AR-15 related stuff in here so we can keep the board nice and tidy. Thanks This post was edited on 12/17 at 5:00 pm Reply Back to Top

I am tired of the AR threads as much as anybody but having it all in on thread is going to make it difficult to find out specefic info once it gets to be lengthy. This will never work anyway. Nobody looks at stuff like this. Reply Back to Top
Even if we get a sticky, I'm guessing 14 more AR threads by Thursday. Reply Back to Top

All this damn ar talk, I guess I'm going to have to build myself one so I can join in on the talk. Reply Back to Top
I would add Windham and Colt model ARs to the OP, I think both are pretty reputable and would do just fine as someones first AR. Reply Back to Top
S&W makes a damn fine rifle as well Reply Back to Top

Here is a video from one of my favorite channels on Youtube, former military, avid shooter, about the Colt as his choice for a starter AR LINK He also has a few videos on Windham, one on their AR, and then an actual factory tour. LINK Reply Back to Top
Does anyone know where I can find a complete BCM rifle with a mid-length gas system in stock? I've been searching the web and calling stores for the last week and all I can find are uppers. I already have a Daniel Defense M4V5 but am looking to add another AR ASAP. Ideally I would love to find a Mid 16Mod0 because I have a 13" Troy Alpha Battle Rail just sitting at the house, and I'd like to avoid paying for a rail I won't use. Then again, with supply such as it is I'd be fine with just removing the rail and selling it. Thanks in advance. Reply Back to Top Refresh
