| What makes a good name? Posted by Lester Earl 1. Winning 2. Color scheme logo You can't just judge the name on its own. If you did 95% of the names in the nba would suck So stfu!!!! Reply Back to Top |
| Lester is full of win right now. Reply Back to Top |

| Our superstar has made the unibrow popular... you think he can't do the same with the prestigious pelican? sheet Reply Back to Top |
| Long term I agree it doesn't matter, but I think Voodoo was a "good name" that wouldn't have caused a meltdown had it been available. It and Brass seemed to have the best ratio of supporters to haters. Reply Back to Top |
| Apparently it's an inanimate idea. Soul! Bounce! Krewe! Brass! Reply Back to Top |

| So you support brass and Krewe just as much as the pelicans then, good to know Reply Back to Top |
I like the name actually. LINK Reply Back to Top |

| Winning helps speed up the process of forgetting a bad name. But it doesn't make a name better. Color Scheme and logo play a role. Probably the biggest role honestly. For instance, I hated the name "Pelicans" before I saw some cool design logos from fans. It made me like the idea more. Reply Back to Top |

quote:i agree with this. when pelicans was first introduced a while back i despised it mainly because of that gay arse pelican design where i guess they were trying to make him look like a cartoon mardi gras pimp. then i saw the design that tigerinatl has as his avatar and instantly felt better about it. still dont love it but hate it a lot less Reply Back to Top |

| I don't really care what the name is, but if you lay out 3 in front of me, I'll rank them Pelicans Brass Krewe Could have lived with any. They will write their own story Reply Back to Top |
| Pelicans is the best brand nationally and it's got local history with it. Win-win. Reply Back to Top |
quote: Well, it's currently being ridiculed by everyone who isn't a Hornets fan, so I don't know about that. If we start winning games and don't make it look like shit, though, then people will get used to it just like they did with the Thunder. I don't have an issue with it, but Brass was my favorite and is preferred by most of the country. ![]() Reply Back to Top Refresh |
