| I saw this and Zero Dark back to back. I absolutely loved both and it would be really hard for me to pick one that the Oscar should go to. I will say that although Chastain was great, Lawrence should take home the statue. She was brilliant. Reply • Back to Top |

| I had not heard that about Lawrence's audition. I wonder who they interviewed for the role, I can't imagine anyone else. I'm glad people are finally coming around to seeing this film. I was afraid it would get lost with Django, Les Mis, and ZD30 all opening so close to it. Hopefully the Oscar nominations will help too. Reply • Back to Top |
| Anne hathaway was actually cast first for the role but had to drop out due to conflict with shooting the dark knight returns. Yeah Lawrence was really good. I think it is between her and Chastain for the Oscar. Cooper was great as well and Deniro's speech to him at the end was awesome. Reply • Back to Top |
| I was actually going to start a thread, but I'll just add to this one. My question is, who do you think is the craziest person in the movie? I mean of anyone in it? I'd have to go with the dad (De Niro). Sure, he's got a gambling addiction and he's superstitious, but I still say he leads the pack, which sort of says something. Great movie. Loved the football element. I really enjoyed Jennifer Lawrence "putting her black on" with that halter when she was practicing her movesand those beauties sure move around like they're real.
