re: How certain are you that Mett doesn't go pro after this year?quote: Matt Flynn doesn't have half the arm of Mett and is much shorter. Mett is a prototypical NFL QB in terms of size and arm strength. He would be drafted after a combine this year. Not very highly, but he would be drafted. Obviously he should come back however as he could be a VERY high pick next year will a full stellar season under his belt. Reply Back to Top |
| The entire offense comes back next year. The best parts of the Oline, all the WRs, and the RBs. If Mett continues to improve and play like this, he absolutely could be a top 10 pick. His physical tools are unquestionable and with a good season, NFL scouts will drool over him. Reply Back to Top |
| No fricking way he goes pro. Needs another year to mature. I will bet my right, no left pinky finger just below my finger nail that he stays right here for another year. Reply Back to Top |

| Having ability is not enough. He has to develope his skills. Two good games doesnt make him a pro. One more year and he will be tons better. Reply Back to Top |
If he had a solid year next year he should get drafted see quote: Reply Back to Top |
| If he kills it these next 3 three games plus the bowl game there is no doubt in my mind he goes #1. :passeskoolaidaround: Reply Back to Top |
| Two decent games and you've got him going pro? Up until Bama, he's been a deer inthe headlights with Frankenstein boots on. Reply Back to Top |

| He shouldn't have issues with UGA, he's the deviant that got himself kicked out. Reply Back to Top |
| OK now, the NFL isn't the NBA of the early 2000's here. If it was, then Mett might be a top 5 pick. He seems to have every physical tool, and has shown the past two games that he can be coached a little. But again, it isn't the NBA. The NFL wants their QBs to be seasoned and experienced, if they are going to draft them. If Mett were to go pro this season, after 2 more good games, he might be a 6th or 7th pick, based on talent alone. And he'd have to be picked by a team with an established starter with a few years left, say New England or Green Bay, because he'd be practice squad only for a couple seasons. Now, I get that the league minimum is more short-term money than we get in the real world, but outside that- why on Earth would he even consider giving up another year as starter on a ranked BCS contender? | Lsu"expert" thanks for a world class dumb question. HELL NAW! But I like the way you think, maybe next year if he continues to mature= Obrien candidate and 2nd round? Reply Back to Top |
quote: This. He has all the tools to be the first QB taken next year, but he still needs to show that he can make quick decisions and that he has pocket presence. I'm sure he'd love to go, but he probably won't get a high draft grade and will be convinced to stay. Reply Back to Top |
| Not a snowball's chance in hell Mett goes pro after this year. Reply Back to Top |
quote: True statement. He wasn't leaving unless he pulled a Cam Newton and won us a BCSNCG this year. Reply Back to Top |
quote: You mean 6th or 7th round I am guessing. Reply Back to Top |
