re: UFC 154 - GSP's Return (WW Title Fight) - Saturday, November 17th @ 10E on PPVquote: Agreed. GSP controlled most of the round, but Condit came within one more clean shot of finishing the fight. Round 3 was Condit's. I'm pumped to see GSP v. Hendricks. Hendricks is quickly becoming my favorite fighter. Really started liking him when he would come on MMA Junkie Radio. Down to earth and easy to like. Reply Back to Top |
quote: GSP looked fricking huge. Even then, seeing what Condit was able to do, I think Anderson whips his ass. Reply Back to Top |
Posted by Maximus on 11/19 at 9:25 am to boom roasted quote: i saw something that when they were wrestlers, hendricks was hated by everyone and ben askren was the golden boy. now its role reversal. hendricks has a much better shot at gsp than most just because gsp won't be able to decide 100% of the time where the fight takes place like he usually can. Hendricks will stuff some takedowns and will be able to get a takedown. My biggest fear is he looks so much like just a left handed Koscheck and GSP will do everything to avoid that one big left hand bomb. Reply Back to Top |
quote: they both got the other on the ground and did damage on the ground...but condit had a massive kick as well UFC judges don't give proper weight to good striking that does damage Reply Back to Top |
| I was surprised how much damage CC was able to inflict from off his back in the guard. Anderson might KO him with those elbows from the bottom. I know we're still a couple weeks away, but this next Fox card is going to be amazing! Reply Back to Top |
| GSP can actually inflict damage with his GnP. This fight should give everyone a confidence boost in seeing GSP fight Silva. We know he can take him down. We know his sub defense is very good. He won't be pitter pattering Anderson like Chael did. AND, GSP can strike. That high kick would have hit ANYONE. Condit fricking threw 2 strikes and was crouched down and unleashed that kick from one of the most unique positions I have ever seen. GSP did NOT back off after that. He pressed the action as soon as he got up and he was tagging Carlos. Condit is awesome, and we all know Anderson is much better, but GSP is on that next level with Anderson and has the heart of a champion. I want to see him try. Reply Back to Top |
Posted by Maximus on 11/19 at 10:45 am to TigerNutts Condit is pretty slow. Anderson probably would have ducked that head kick, bent over and ate a sandwich. And GSP blamed his eye being blurry for getting hit with that. Always the gentlemen with his i saw tree of him excuses. Reply Back to Top Refresh |
