Is liquor/beer served at EPL stadiums ? Posted by The Mick Or no?Reply Back to Top
Yes, but you can't drink in sight of the pitch, e.g. you can only drink beer in the concourses. Reply Back to Top
Really? I thought it was banned because of hooliganism. Reply Back to Top
Gotcha. I was thinking it would get too crazy Reply Back to Top
Thenry is correct. At Stamford Bridge it was insane at half with everyone piled inside drinking the overpriced stadium beer. Reply Back to Top
| At one point it might have been banned entirely. The not drinking in sight of the pitch rule effectively minimizes the in-game boozing enough as it is. Fans won't leave their seats to purchase and consume a pint of beer during the half. Nor do many really want to wait in line for ten minutes at halftime, only to down a shitty Foster's in two, just to get back to their seats in time. | You can order your halftime pint in the platinum level at St. James' Park and it's ready and waiting for you when you walk in. Pretty cool. Also, they have bookies in the stadium ready to take bets and it's totally legal which is amazing. There's no fighting because they will throw you out if you're an away fan and not sitting in the segregated section. Hooliganism is largely dead there. Man City fans were much nicer than any SEC fan base I've ever seen and it's not close. This post was edited on 10/8 at 11:34 pm Reply Back to Top |
