You dumb assess blaming Miles for basically having an all freshman line and our receivers dropping WIDE OPEN PASSES sure weren't giving Miles credit last year when we were curb stomping the SEC and the PAC 12 champ and the big east champ.

We curb stomped those teams with Lee. Miles lost credit when he insisted on playing JJ. Thanks for making that point.

What? You watch the ball and squeeze. You can either catch or you can't. Drops are due to either a lack of ability or a lack of concentration, not a lack of coaching. You're grasping at straws if you're blaming drops on the coaches

Preparation for Oregon set the tone for the season, and he gets all the credit in the world. Last year, until the end...was his best job by far. Really put things together.

I agree, he didn't change anything during the NCG game and he even said yesterday nothing will change they just need to execute better. Les doesn't get it and neither do the fans supporting Les.

In the NCG we were down 6-0 nearing the half... our defense failed us a bit and let Bama into scoring position again... so it was 9-0. Coming out of half we screw the pooch with either a 3rd and short fumble or missed catchable ball -- I can't recall exactly at this point -- but basically we fricked ourselves -- not the play calling, not the coaching... failure ON the FIELD.

So, Bama takes over and again scores -- running it to 12-0.

Do you really think at 12 - 0 given how it went from 6-0 to 12-0 essentially without LSU having the ball necessitates a major change of gameplan and approach?

As for this week --- re-watch the UF game -- in so many situations the play called is there --- we fail to execute on the field --- you have a hard time accepting this -- but the plays called were there often enough for LSU to have kept the chains moving, keep our Defense (and their offense) off the field and possibly mount an actual drive and score points.... thus giving LSU the win.

Even as gassed as they were the LSU defense was playing hard... but no mistaking it -- they were gassed and our inability to get 1st downs let UF continue to run the ball... 58 runs, just 12 passes ---- 25 consecutive running plays to end the game. Sounds like a winning formula -- one the Les Miles KNOWS wins games, when executed.

Sadly, LSU's hodgepoge OL and 2nd and 3rd team LBs are not good enough to dominate the Top 10 ranked teams.... (sarcasm -- as nobody's reserves would).

All that said --- watch the LAST play of the game --- IF the lateral is caught, then Spencer Ware is in position to receive a pitch back with a wide open field ahead of him. LSU EXECUTES that last second play the way they designed it -- and who knows --- maybe we are talking about the Mirical in the Swamp and not a loss????

Could we and should we have been in that position needing last second hiroics to possibly tie.... NO -- but if OBJ doesn't fumble on the long pass -- at worst we flip the field again and at best we go on to score and re-take the lead... from there the outcome is something we can only speculate about.

I saw a hard fought, very tough game, that down to the LAST play could have gone either way.

My realistic expectations are that we are competitive in every game -- LSU met that expectation. Am I happy with the loss - no, not at all --- but damn we didn't get dominated, we lost a close "heavy weight" battle on the road to a quality team.

Again -- it's gonna happen and it's not the last loss of the CLM era... nor is our next win the last of the CLM era in all liklihood, either.

Yeah, they are just now learning how to catch footballs and the coaches aren't showing them right.

You are really sucking at being a negatiger

Holy cow, just stating the obvious bud. The obvious is we have a stubborn coach that doesn't realize we don't have the horse to keep in the same path as before, simple right? You'd think, but not with this coach. He thinks its execution, well who the HELL coaches these kids on execution??? Hopefully Les is just fooling everyone and comes out with a brand new pkaybook(not likely but I'm hopeful) that would be very cool. No matter what happens this weekend I will support the Tigers, as far as Les, its pointless.

So you didn't notice That the LSU defense was killing UF when they were passing in the first half?

Did their coaches continue with the gameplan or adjust at half?

What did our coaching staff do at halftime to adjust to what their defense was doing to our offense?

Les is trying to run the same offense as 2011 for this year

Different players..

Round peg square hole etc

Lsu doesn't have the o-line to ground and pound this year

Les is going to have to let Mett sling it to back off defenses in 2012

But I doubt he will

Ho hum, more of the same

The OL lost elite talent and the WRs are tight, that is all.
Unlike last year, they have a lot on their plates now that they aren't just along for the ride, making a catch here and there in games LSU would win anyway.
You can't really coach that out of them.
They need experience, and they need confidence and it certainly isn't coming from Rant.

In my limited 30+ years of playing/watching the game, I always thought you designed and ran plays to fit your talent and strengths.

Blaming an Internet messageboard for the poor performance of the Lsu football team is laughable

How about placing some blame at the feet of the 4 million dollar man?

Les believes in his system

After all, it worked last year right?

Yes, we all know this to be true. What would be the difference this year? Was the personnel better suited last year for Les' system? Are we just not executing?

Chris Faulk being out hurts
Blackwell being gone hurts
The o-line regressing this year and young players hurts

Mathieu being the spark of the team being gone hurts
