He made it clear that any program that was questionable in its entitlement (or need) for taxpayer money (or Chinese credit) was on the chopping block.

Welcome statement.

Agreed, but PBS needs to be cut... Why should the govt pay for a television network?

Taxpayers pay $450 million a year for PBS. Those tv shows are absolute cash cows they would do just fine in the free market.

Their boy got stomped so they are looking for any thing they can attack Romney on.

First order of business when you are "taking over" a failing business:

CUT THE FAT!

Cutting funding for PBS is a drop in the bucket. Not everyone can afford cable. This is real jobs. Romney is heartless when it comes to the poor. He needs to look at bigger cuts in defense spending. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and butt. He'll take it back next week. Why does the govt subsidize big oil? They make millions and F up the environment. Oh I forgot most people drink the big oil koolaid. Big oil has done nothing for LA. The state is still last in almost everything.

So much fail it's not even worth a response.

It's amazing that every single statement in that paragraph of drivel is incorrect.

I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

If you're joking, please disregard this post. We are deep enough, I'm amenable to every cut you want. And more of my own. There are no sacred cows.

You can call me names. I was born and lived most of my life in LA. The state is behind in everything. I love LSU and thank God for it, but the state sucks in terms of progression. Big oil lines the pockets of the politicians and F up the environment. I hated seeing the fisherman cry on tv during the spill. That should make most people in LA want to stop the subsidies. Where does Mitt stand on oil subsidies? Is he drinking the koolaid too.

But he is willing to borrow money from China to increase military spending and expand the AMerican empire.

Cold pizza, I'm open too cuts across the board and that is where I disagree with Mitt. The defense budget is too big. I live near the Pentagon. He is playing to the Neo cons.

Newt Gingrich says that he likes PBS but feels that they should run commercials to pay their bills.

Were you not paying attention during the debate?

Obama gave $90 billion in one year to alternative energy that equals 50 years of oill and gas subsidies.

context: we are in debt.

therefore, PBS would get the ax, if Romney were in charge.

PS: its not about killing big Bird. its about elimination of all news sources other than the 3 conglomerates.
