| re: Saturday morning TV for late 80s, early 90s Might be earlier than late 80's but in '85 as kid I was into Hulk Hogans Rock 'n' Wrestling cartoon that aired until '87. Reply Back to Top |
| Im more of a 70's Saturday morning guy but I did check some of those out in the early 80's or if I was on a wake and bake kick in college the very sad thing to me is: there are no cartoons on Saturday mornings anymore You can't find a real Bugs cartoon to save your soul...I guess it was too "mean"? seriously ![]() Reply Back to Top |
| Cartoon Network shows Looney Tunes at 11 every morning followed by Tom and Jerry. They have some decent stuff on Saturday and Sunday morning too. I kinda like Ben 10. Reply Back to Top |
quote: I watch the 8am CNT West feed I really meant over the air free Bugs Bunny, plus they seem "edited" I just feel a whole generation is losing a piece o Americana that cannot be replaced and yes I feel that serious about Bugs and gang Reply Back to Top |
| A lot of the old Looney Tunes stuff is considered too racist now. Speedy Gonzalez is banned from tv for it. I guess the non stop violence is ok though. Reply Back to Top |
| Loved the Laffolympics. Salute your shorts captain caveman pretty much anythng on usa's cartoon express. Saved by the bell. Reply Back to Top |

quote: Hell Yeah!! Star Blazers and G Force! I watched them religiously. The Herculoids SpiderMan Justice League Scooby Doo (I hated it when they put Scrappy Doo on there) Dungeons and Dragons Not a cartoon, but another one I watched every time it came on, Land of the Lost. Muppet Babies Shirt Tales Kwiky Koala Grape Ape The Smurfs The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show Don't have cool cartoons like that now. Every thing is computer generated. Reply Back to Top |
quote: You mean Battle of the Planets? I loved that one, too... and completely forgot about it until you mentioned it. Does anybody remember The New Zoo Review? Reply Back to Top |
| Was it Battle of the Planets? I was like 5 or 6 when it was on so I very well could have the name wrong. I remember they all had a G on their belt buckles. I had forgotten about the fat one. I liked the guy that had the blue hawklike glass piece that went over his face. ![]() Reply Back to Top |
| My sister has the first niece/nephew of the family. Was over there hangin out with him watching a show. Its no wonder the country/world is going to shite with the bull shite kids have to watch these days. Reply Back to Top |
| Yeah... The team was G-Force, the show was Battle of the Planets (although they may have changed it later airings). I'm in my 30s and can still sing the entire Star Blazers theme song. ETA: This show was waaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of its time by American standards. This post was edited on 10/6 at 12:02 am Reply Back to Top |
| Oh ok. I had a die cast submarine or battleship toy from Star Blazers. As soon as I saw the picture, I recognized it. Reply Back to Top |
