quote:86 3pt rating. He's great for when I get penetration and draw a triple team. Just hit him in the corner and it's an easy assist. quote:In real life, this wouldn't work. But on the game, I can just toss it to Dirk in the post and he'll score 9 times out of 10. Melo is just plain nasty. My first game with the Mavs I didn't even lead the team in scoring because Melo scored 36. quote:Rebounding specialist. That's his job and he's good at it. Reply Back to Top |
| Thats the thing, in 2k all you need are role players to fill a role. In reality, Jermaine O'Neal has been shite lately but damn if he can't be a role player as a center Reply Back to Top |
| Picked it up yesterday, digging it! Hard to break the alley-oop habit. I used to pump fake with the RS so that's kind of throwing me off too. Overall, I like it. I've never done an online league so I'd be interested in trying that out. Reply Back to Top |
| Has anyone successfully flopped a charge? Me and my buddy tried to do it all game and never got it called. Reply Back to Top |
| This game is like nothing but a billboard for jay z. WE GET IT. YOU HELPED WITH THE GAME. Reply Back to Top |
Posted by sbr2 on 10/3 at 3:08 pm to tween the hedges I've only seen one charge/block get called as a charge. There is a special ability that increases the chance of drawing a charge, but I'd guess blocking will get called 80% of the time.Reply Back to Top |
Posted by 4ngel on 10/3 at 3:13 pm to tween the hedges I got a couple on the demo, but no go so far on the actual game.Reply Back to Top |

| I love the game so far. It's hard to get used to the new controls, but very awesome when I get it right. The music is horrible, though. I actually like most of the songs, but they're so censored it's distracting. Then there is something that really bothers me...no way to turn off autosave. I don't understand how you can take this out. Sometimes I like to sim ahead to the end of the season to see what the offseason will look like. In real life, you have a pretty good idea of what options will get picked up or who will resign or go to Free Agency. I love to rebuild teams, so this determines some of my moves. And if I sim some games and Anthony Davis destroys his knee...I'm going back to my last save. Or I may work a series of trades to see what the options are. Other than that I really like the game. I'm looking forward to diving into this even more. The dribbling seems much better if you can master the moves. Quick point guards are deadly. Reply Back to Top |
| Ok, now that the new has worn off and I've been able to dissect the game a bit, I've noticed a few flaws: 1. On-ball defense is WAY too slow and clunky. This may be because of a low on-ball defense rating, but I have 99 speed and 99 quickness and Manu Ginobli has no problem getting around me. That's an issue. When you have maxed out speed, you shouldn't be slower than the ball-handler. Even if he is pretty fast himself. Lateral quickness is pretty much gone. 2. Releases take a bit too long. I thought that was one thing 2k12 had right. The release timing was perfect. Using Ray Allen's release, I shouldn't have to hold x for nearly 2 full seconds to get a perfect release. 3. Your teammates' defense in MyCareer is horrible. I feel like I'm back in 2k11 having to run around guarding everybody that touches the ball. I'm sure I'll see more, but those are the pretty major ones in the gameplay area. The good news is all of these can be fixed with a patch. So I'll have to just hope 2k sees this and gets enough feedback to put it in the big patch. Reply Back to Top |
| I had the score menu/box on the bottom right disappear mid way through the 3rd qtr until the game was over. Reply Back to Top |
| I have no problem with the on ball defense being harder. I also kind of like the longer releases. Reply Back to Top |
quote:I'm perfectly ok with it being harder, but the stiffness and clunkyness of trying to get around on defense is off-putting. Especially when you're using a player that is as athletic as you can possibly be. Reply Back to Top |
| I'm still adjusting to the defense. I can get into a guys jersey when he is releasing and not get good defensive ratings. I also got five steals in a game by spamming X in the paint and the opposing team picking up the ball everytime so I could do it again Reply Back to Top |
| Yeah that's true. Even John wall/Westbrook feel slow on D. Reply Back to Top |
| I just wish Xbox would let me simultaneuously play a game and last.fm at the same time that way Game soundtracks wouldnt get so frickin old so fast This post was edited on 10/3 at 5:06 pm Reply Back to Top |
| Pisses me off on mycareer I'm on the rockets coming off the bench as a PG , and putting up 20-30 pts a game and 5-6 assist. 2nd year Lin gets hurt after going like 5-10 on the schedule and my player took over as the PG and won 10 in a row. Well Lin comes back and takes back the PG spot and I get put as a SG and it fricks all our momentum up and myplayer started going cold only scoring around 12-15 a game. The team unity seemed to go down because of this and we started losing games again... Reply Back to Top |
Posted by hg on 10/3 at 5:25 pm to Tiger Nation 84 Am I the only one that gets screwed up when i make a steal and try to get going on a fast break, but the camera turning fricks me up and i start going sideways for a split second. Ruins my chances of a fast break Reply Back to Top |
