| Yeah they feel like they're giving up too much for not enough in return while Stoke is still worried about his foot so they're not looking to offer much more. Reply Back to Top |
Posted by YNWAmetry504 on 1/23 at 8:55 am to rdw1690 USA needs more players like Geoff Cameron. He went from the Houston Dynamo to the best defense in the EPL at one point. Cameron came out of nowhere and showed us he can play in WC2014 (he showed us in 1 year). I realize stoke packs the box full of players to play defense but watch Cameron play, baller. We need Shea to go to EPL to show us what he can do. Altidore should get his arse over to England as well. Brek went to Arsenal last summer and they did not give him the time of day. Maurice Edu can make it to Stoke but Shea and Altidore cant get to EPL??? (Edu was subbed in 1 game for stoke. 0-0 tie to lpool). Jurgen is big on his players moving to better teams. | Stop posting like a 12 year old or a ranter. Geoff Cameron was a known product prior to his move to Stoke. MLS does far more for player development than sitting on the bench for a random mid-table English team. MLS isn't hardballing Stoke here. That's a fair price for one of the league's most talented players. Stoke is playing it safe by not investing in a currently injured player. Jozy played for Hull. Jozy scored twice while at Hull. Maurice Edu can't even get on the bench for Stoke. Michael Bradley didn't get a fair shot at Aston Villa prior to joining Chievo. All hail the greatness playing in England does for our talent pool. Brek Shea went to train with Arsenal last season. Kyle Beckerman trained with Kaiserslautern. Omar Gonzalez tore his ACL training with Nurnberg. None of them signed with these teams. Training in Europe is now a common practice for MLS based national team players. Reply Back to Top |

| That's why I posted that. He at least got to play 25 minutes for Bursaspor last weekend after only being with the club for a few days. Reply Back to Top |
| I'm with you. I'm all for our guys being in better leagues, but playing time is more important no matter where it is. Reply Back to Top |

| Really wish they would turn him into a full time defender. Reply Back to Top |
Posted by USAjurgen2011 on 1/24 at 3:18 pm to YNWAmetry504 Some players like Brek are not ready to make the move to EPL. As he is talented, he could still gain more MLS experience. Altidore is 22 years old, let him tear it up at AZ alkamaar. I see your point with Cameron, he was put in the perfect position at stoke and still has a lot to learn. Cameron is 27 though. Altidore will go when he is damn ready. 29 goals in 52 games with AZ is not bad Reply Back to Top |

| Chandler was an absolute must get for this trip to Honduras. Fab and Cherundolo are both nursing injuries, and are huge question marks this time around. Reply Back to Top |
