Good article today about Wally and his family!
quote:

Former LSU star pitcher and current Kansas City Royal Louis Coleman phoned Wally Sr. one afternoon after he was called up to the major leagues. Coleman, who never played with or even knew Wally Jr. and was close friends with Nick, wanted to memorialize a man he never met. “[The Royals] asked if [Louis] wanted to change numbers,” Wally Sr. said. Coleman chose 31.

Today is not his birthday. It is the anniversary of his death. Great person and role model. His birthday is November 18th. 31 Forever

May God bless his family and may Wally's soul repose in peace!

What a loss!

What a great person and player for LSU Baseball.

Kudos to ALL who made his legacy, beyond his life, live on and provide inspiration and hope for all, especially the youth in society.

Wally was a proverbial apple, who did not fall far from the tree of life, his mom and dad should be proud.

Still in our thoughts. I remember learning the news of his death. Can't believe it's been 10 years already since his passing.

My bad. His birthday was in November but he would have been 31 this year.

Hard to believe it has been 10 years. I had just started a new job in BR and when news of his death got out, I cried at my new job for 2 days.
