Houston Restaurant Week Starting to plan out my route of attack. I have the normal suspects on the list - RDG, Hugo's, Mockingbird, etc - but I would appreciate any incremental suggestions I may be missing. Looking for lunch and dinner recs. Reply Back to Top
You will be disappointed at every selection unless you have a fetish for giving your hard earned dollars to overpriced crap designed to impress Houston's burgeoning scene of yuppies, nouveau hipsters, and bobo's who are all too proffligate with their student loans checks and/or their parents' money. Save your cash and drive to Lafayette or Nola. Bonus: that special runs year-round. Only stuff worth getting in Houston is the burger at Tailgates, the Barbados tacos at taqueria Laredo or taconmadre, and the been narrow dish at Pho Binh on . Restaurant Week is a scam, and if you participate then you're probably the type of guy who drives a 2-door coupe. This post was edited on 7/16 at 11:44 pm Reply Back to Top
What are some fairly decent places to eat around MD Anderson? I'd like Mexican but not a shithole place as I'll be with my family. I don't mind driving some, just not more than 5 or 10 miles from the area. Reply Back to Top
Butt hurt much? Houston has some great restaurants bro. 4 door by the way. Reply Back to Top

What about Hugo's? I just read a review that said it was good. It's close to MD Anderson area too. Reply Back to Top

Can anyone give me some suggestions for brunch? Looking for a place to take people from out of town, good food, a nice/cool place, inside the loop. Was going to do Brennans on the Bayou, but they are closed for Saturday brunch. Reply Back to Top
I do like el tiempo. It feels like your in Mexico sometimes Reply Back to Top
Did some guy in a 2 door coupe take your wife out to a restaurant in Houston then have his way with her? Because that's what it sounds like. There are plenty of good restaurants here. I'm not saying that Restaurant Week is the best thing ever (in fact I'm not really a fan) but you sound retarded. Reply Back to Top
