Becuase Tim Duncan does not need to be coddled. If he did, they'd do everything in their power to make him happy.

Chris Paul was kept in the loop. If we were talking about CP3 and we had drafted a PG skewed combo guard like Lillard I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't have discussed the draft with him, granted that conversation may have been initiated by Paul, but I think it would have happened.

IMO Gordon is correct, not right in his actions but correct in his assessment. Demps sees him as a future trade asset, not a foundation piece. Winning the lottery gave Demps the ability to move on from Gordon in a way that drafting 5th wouldn't have.
