SF Giants Pitches: 4 shut outs in a row Posted by kjntgr Monday 8-0 vs LA Tues 2-0. Vs LA Wed 3-0 vs LA Thur 5-0 vs Cinn All this without even using their ace Matt Cain. Are the giants the NL favorite to get to the WS with this insane pitching? Reply Back to Top
Getting to the playoffs is always hectic. Best to win division outright and avoid crappy wildcard game. But there is no more dangerous team in a playoff series with this caliber of starters. This post was edited on 6/29 at 12:10 am Reply Back to Top
If playoffs started today it would be SF, LA, Washington, and Cinn. Not much playoff experience there. Reply Back to Top

Thats my point, SF would def be the favorite. Reply Back to Top
I think it's more impressive that they did it with this years version of Timmy Jim. Reply Back to Top
Posted by Rohan2Reed on 6/29 at 9:24 am to kjntgr Franchise record 36 straight scoreless innings by the staff. quote: Between us and the Nationals, it's pretty close. Here's an interesting stat: the Giants are 6th in all of baseball in hits but are ranked 21st overall in runs scored. So they are do for some correction there ... that will lead to a few more wins. If San Francisco can stay healthy I think they win the NL West by a handful of games over Arizona. Dodgers finish the season in 3rd place. 91 wins gets it done in that division, IMO. | SF vs WAS in the NLCS would be a good series. SF in 5.... Reply Back to Top |

Giants pitching is sick, but Posey needs some love as well. In Posey's 1669 career innings at catcher (counting playoffs) the Giant's pitchers have a 3.18 ERA Reply Back to Top
