#27 ranked Kent State is back in the NCAA tourny again! The nations longest winning streak in the country at 17 games is in the NCAA tourney for the 4th strait year. The question is...can they make a run? Remember, last year this same group of kids went into the Austin Regional and beat #5 ranked Texas and Texas State only to lose to Texas in the championship game, so this team and program has the experience and is going to be a tough out for sure. Get on board the train now!!

lol come on, give my boys some love! Seriously though, Kent State is a dangerous team man. Nobody wants them in their regional. David Lyon is a beast!

They've been pretty solid for a few years now. I can't see their coach staying there much longer. I imagine a big time program will come for him soon.

Most people thought that when former Ohio State coach Bob Todd retired 2 years ago that Ohio State would almost certainly go after Scott Stricklin from Kent State. I was shocked when they hired Beals. Ive been to coaching clinics where Stricklin has spoke...very good commnicator! Since 1992, Kent State has won 10 MAC championships and been to the NCAA tourny 9 times. Thats pretty good for a northern mid major. Kent State is a program thats really gaining respect and alot of that has to do with Stricklin. Again, depending on their NCAA draw, Kent State is a team nobody wants to see in their first game. The best thing about Kent is that they only have 5 seniors...the future is even brighter!

Not only a Saban school....but a sweet Lou Holtz school as well lol

Kent State wins over Kentucky 7-6!!! This Kent State team is very dangerous. Stricklin is most likely going to get a job somewhere else after this season. The job this guy has done at Kent is simply amazing! KSU KSU KSU!!!

Longest game in NCAA history! Next up for Kent State is Purdue who defeated Valpo 7-2. This should be a very good game. I think Kent can win this regional. Only concern is that pitching may have been spent in that 21 innings.

2009. The day drunk augie ruined austin wood's career. I mean why not let your best reliever throw 169 pitches?
