Do any of you make a "To-Do" list at the beginning of the day?
Posted by MrSmith on 5/15 at 12:37 pm
I have to do this or I never finish the stuff I need to accomplish at work and home. I'll usually focus too much time on one thing and not move on.

Any of you have this problem? Ways you find help yourself to finish all of your "To-Dos" each day?

I always make to-do lists at work. I often will also assign times to the items, such as from 9 am to 10 am I am doing ...

I'll even do it at home sometimes, especially on cleaning days. I like to cross off the items and see my progress.

If you are having trouble finishing the items you may need to consider if you are being realistic about what you can get done. I have to re-prioritize sometimes and push things off to another day.

No, but that would be at the top of my list.

Very rarely. I am only productive when I have a to do list.

No, but I do one listing what I need to do within the week/month when I get really stressed out. I also make lists of things I need to pay for in order to budget better.

I avoid lists. I figure the things I do are the things I want to do. My ex wife was a list fiend and it drove me nuts. Spontaneous behavior was her enemy.

Yes.

And if I get sidetracked and do something not on my list, I immediately add it to the list then immediately cross it out.

OCD gonna OCD.

I'm mainly talking about work tasks, of course.
