"If someone doesn't vote then they have no right to bitch and complain about politics."
*******

That's a pretty silly sentiment.
People have a right to air their grievances about the govt's actions, regardless of whether or not they vote or who they vote for.

Not voting, is essentially voting against all of the candidates, or the system in general. The assertion that someone can somehow forfeit their voice on important issues because they don't vote, in one or all elections, is nonsense.

You don't earn the right to self determination by picking a winner, or a loser, in what has evolved into nothing more than a media circus, where debate on the real issues takes a back seat to the main events of fund raising and lying.

when enough people do that, the 3rd party becomes a major party.

parties have changed over time. Whigs and Know-nothings are history.

I've been thinking a lot lately about what a 3rd party vote would mean. Plenty of libertarian leaning people my age (mid 20s) are going to vote for Romney simply because Obama is so awful. If we vote for Romney, we may get O out, but we'll likely just get more of the McCain/Bush/Rove BS. If we vote Johnson, the republicans will lose the election. While I certainly don't want another dose of Barack, it would be so satisfying to show the baby boomers that the times are a changin'. The right in this country (except for the religious base) is becoming more libertarian whether they like it or not. If they want to win elections against the proletariat in the future, they need to drop the gay marriage/drug/democracy in the middle east shite and be willing to reform entitlements.

Yep. Not the kind of guy I want to vote for, but it's not like Obama won't go on a spendapalooza if he can get some seats in the house in 2014. Both are just different brands of poison.

So if someone has a different opinion than you it must be "liberal logic"... And we wonder why our country is going down the shitter when people like you care more about their "team" than true liberty and freedom.

Not voting is the only logical way to go.

If they lean to the left or are don't know anything about who or what they are voting for then I encourage not voting.

God bless 'em. If more people refused to vote this country would be a better place. Leave it up to those of us who are actually paying attention.
